  1. I heard about this through his interview with Nick Faldo which is on Nick Faldo Channel if you want to see it yourself

  2. first world problems……NOT……I love golf but I must say its getting very tiring hearing about the LIV TOUR….couldn't care less I just love watching and playing golf….cheers from Canada

  3. I think LIV are playing a blinder to stay in the headlines, it is free advertising leaping from shock story too shock story.
    P. T. Barnum — 'I don't care what the newspapers say about me as long as they spell my name right.' The Greatest Showman before Greg Norman!

  4. Byron Nelson, one of the greatest statesman in the game and one of the 10 top players of all time, meticulously kept a record of all his professional earnings with one single goal in mind: to earn enough money on the golf course to purchase a ranch in his home state of Texas.

By 1947, Nelson had finally earned enough money to purchase that dream ranch.
At the young age of 34, and right smack in the middle of his prime, Nelson purchased a sprawling ranch in rural Texas and simply walked away from the game of golf.

But of course he didn’t play for money and neither did Hogan.

  5. They are golf professionals they play for money, it’s simple. There is no building the golf game the billion dollars has been thrown at players to get them into the LIV tour. A lot of that could have been used to build on the other tours, education programmes, golf courses etc.
Jack saying it was not for the money, well
The prize money was substantial compared to normal wages, although not at the level of today, and once he had one a few he joined with Mark McCormack who signed other top golfers and he struck various sponsorship and promotional deals for them. Arnie, Jack, Gary Player and others also became involved in golf course design etc.
The PGA tour is walking a fine line it needs to maintain a cut in majority of its tournaments it develops the players or breaks them, ask Justin Rose is he a better player for battling through not making any cuts when first turning by pro. The non cut events to attract bigger sponsors OK but make the field a mix of PGA players and invites from the top of other tours Aussie, DP World tour attract the cream of the crop.
In the Faldo interview they discussed Jack record in the Majors, something that will never be beaten for the number of top three finishes never mind top ten

  6. I only take any notice of 3 majors and the Ryder cup and Solheim cup. i watch more womens golf for its available on youtube .Not sure if LIV will ever be on the horizon for me . Oh, i like the LET, much more interesting to watch than the usual LPGA , target golf puttfest

  7. How can you have a golf channel and not know how many majors Jack Nicklaus has won, it’s 18, not 8, which incidentally makes him the greatest player of all time.

  8. Saying 8 0nce and I'm thinking it's a little mistake ,saying it twice and I'm thinking how can he do a golf channel

  9. Turning out too be the place to be for golf news now days Rick has gone too global.. so stopped watching him now.

  10. I'm tired of all this "LIV this, LIV that" stuff.
It's another tour. With it's own set up and rules. So what. Business changes. Get on with your own life and watch the pros if you want. PGA, LIV, Champions, LPGA or whatever other group is televised. The are ALL better than us. Or just go play yourself.
On the "two tours" thing there has always ( in my memory at least ) always been a "two tours" break. Between the players who play the majors regularly, play the world golf events, play the select invitationals and the guys who have PGA cards but aren't high ranked enough to go to those events. Same old, same old. They are ALL wonderfully talented players but some are better than the rest. Work hard, play well and make it into that top echelon. Or not. It's still better than shoveling dirt or washing cars for a living.

  11. You said a couple times that Jack is an 8 time major winner. He's an 18 time major winner. Just saying

  12. Here we go…Back 9 Films. Call it your source for your latest "juicy" gossip regarding the PGA & LIV tours. Oh boy….is this the only reason channel was created? So dissapointed if it was.

  13. I hear he was on board, but his own company which owns & operates his golf courses legally sued him so he changed his mind
