Erling Haaland ‘steams in’ and shoves Dan Burn to defend Jack Grealish in feisty clash between Newcastle and Man City.

Haaland let his temper get the better of him as he ran to defend Man City teammate Jack Grealish against Newcastle.

Tensions had already flared between the teams, with Miguel Almiron’s tackle on Grealish being just one battle in the feisty affair at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland gave Burn a piece of his mind.

Man City had gone 2-0 up in the second-half as substitute Bernardo Silva doubled the home side’s advantage following Phil Foden’s first-half opener.

It had been a frustrating afternoon for the Toon, who fluffed a number of chances to ultimately go another game without scoring, and Dan Burn’s challenge on Grealish summed up his side’s mood.

The Newcastle defender fouled the Man City winger as he looked to burst forward, leading to a brawl that erupted between those around the challenge.

Then, out of nowhere, Haaland came steaming over to shove Burn, visibly furious with the tackle on his teammate who was still rolling around on the floor.

The Magpies star then pulled the Man City striker’s shirt in response, before the pair were pulled apart by their fellow players.

As a result, the pair were both booked for the confrontation.

Grealish went down in pain after Burn’s challenge.

Haaland lost his head and came charging at Burn
“Ohhh there’s a bit of a flair up here, because Jack Grealish has been clumped from behind by Dan Burn,” talkSPORT’s commentator Sam Matterface said live from the Etihad.

“The referee has got to sort out what is a ten or 15-man melee now on the edge of the box – they’re all coming together, pushing and shoving.

“Erling Haaland has come steaming in and is now smiling in the face of Dan Burn, Joelinton has got involved and he’s got to be very careful [he’d already been booked].
