Totally agree, BDS is me and my mates on the weekend, GG is what me and my mates could be if we practiced (and grew younger) haha and RS is just the goat.
BDS is just a different brand from the other channels. They are definitely more raw and unfiltered than most other channels 🤣 which is why it's great. The subscriber count is lower but the American sports A listers that subscribe is insane, which is why I think BDS is absolutely exploding. Also just realized that the other channel of Bob's, the Brilliantly Dumb Show has the same acronym.
Im subscribed to 10 different golf channels and watch them all, doesn't matter to me who is on top as long as the content is good.
Love good good been watching for a while but I will say it is getting a little monotonous. It feels sometimes as if it's the exact same video over and over again would love to see a new idea from the boys

I love everyone you named plus some you didn’t. Yes GG has been steamrolling but the OG is Shiels. I don’t see GG reaching his numbers. BDS I believe will reach or pass GG at some point. Like you said it’s just more relatable. And actually Ricks play is also. But as always, great content. Love how you’ve grown your channel.
Great description beyond just the numbers. I think the great thing is the variety they provide. All entertaining. Along with some of the other "honorable mention" you don't mention. Keep doing what you're doing – it's fun to see your opinion.
I prefer BustaJack Golf to any other YouTube golf channel.
One thing that I don't see mentioned about bob does sports is how good FP is. He brings that level of talent that good good and rick sheils have while having all those personalities. They have the perfect team
If we're playing desert island and I can only pick one content creator its Bob Does Sports 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. No knock on any other page, I eat it all up but BDS is just special.

Personally I see gg slowing down. They don't seem like they're having fun anymore getting too serious. Getting on each other's nerves for whatever reason in comments being said. Bds is going to climb because they keep it fun and funny. Loved watching the match with Grant with cold coldcuts and Micah with Bob was a fun match. Now granted Tigs personality is a bit dry but seems he's trying to be better. How can you not love grant always smiling.
People don’t understand that Rick has a whole country behind him. It’s why a lot of ufc pods are so popular. It’s a world wide sport. Imo gg could find an Australian gg member and a uo member and they would have 40mil subs. Gg is better but Rick is polished. His colabs reach all age groups also. It’s crazy how successful gg has become in the thick of us content competition. Bob is in a totally different field he is a comedian imo and he has a huge lane to call his own. All will be successful and I’m here for it.
Yup agreed man. .Uncle Rick will always be an OG and especially because of his international exposure he has an exponential way to grow. Good Good quality of their vids is solid, but they're so DINKY. Respect to what they do, but crazy when you watch it and just doesn't feel exciting/appealing. Feels like they're scrapping at all times (that being said obviously they're crushing), but just doesn't feel like they're running a sustainable business. Micah and Grant made incredible moves, and their videos have been fire
No way GG overtakes Rick. They lost their mojo when they lost Grant and Tig, and their growth has been sluggish ever since. It's only a matter of time until Steve and Matt have to quit due to back issues, which leaves Bubbie as the only real personality in the group. BDS will surpass GG before GG surpasses Rick.
It's an interesting take about GG vs RS. Rick's speed from 1.4m to 2.2m subscribers was insane pace.
Rick also made a massive effort for GG ro get to 1m, but after that their metrics have slowed In terms of subscriber growth (same as Rick).
Interesting factor that everyone talks about, including you, is that there's huge percentages of watchers NOT subscribing. Is that because there's new insight available in data from YT, or is it a recent trend? If the latter, then the audience dynamics augment subscribers is no longer the metric for growth
What about the pga tour they have 1 million subscribers
I have many serious golfing friends. None of them have any clue who Good Good is or BDS. They know who Rick is. They don't watch him but know of him. Rick has transcend YouTube. GG and BDS aren't there yet.
I love BDS and GG. I found GG through BDS, but I get tired of the scramble all the time. I prefer the GG Major straight up play to anything else they do.
In his podcast today Rick Shiels said there are now over 1000 you tube golf channels today so it really depends on the content you're looking for. Are you looking for golf entertainment like GG, Rick Shiels, BDS or are you looking for lessons on how to play

Rick Shiels is definitely the OG of the YouTube golf community. The beautiful thing about YouTube is different creators can create their own community and following, which means there is ample opportunity for many creators to succeed depending on the type of content they upload. I found you from watching your original channel and the golf series you were doing on there. You take the golf news/controversies/gossip and make it easily digestible while still allowing this community to chime in with their thoughts. I appreciate all you do in this space.

This topic one part I have to disagree. I strongly believe Good Good will not pass Rick for subscribers. Here are my reasons.
1. Since the UK collaboration Rick has increased his subscriber count by roughly 250,000 more than Good Good.
2. Rick has a more of a variety of content to relate to a larger audience.
3. Rick has a larger amount of connections and resources to have huge collaborations.
4. I believe Good Good sometimes comes off as "too good" to some audiences. Example: yes Garrett is sold but comments in recent major like his comment about "playing really bad golf" when he is only 2 over could have a 20 handicap viewer thinking wow I really suck lol
5. Drama and the personal futures of each member. I strongly believe in 5 years we will see other faces because some have moved on. They are all young and as they get older personal decisions could change their priorities. Rick is passed that and can keep striving forward.
I do believe 5 years from now BDS has a solid opportunity to surpass GG.
Again love your content and seeing so many fans and the growth of golf. Just my opinion on the topic.

Rick is the don, as for the videos i look forward to most its BDS, GG just dont cut it for me anymore with the current lineup.
I just checked out social blade. BDS is averaging 100 more new subscribers a day than good good and Rick Shiels. The good good stuff has gotten a little stale for me. I experienced the same thing with googan fishing. I watched it daily for like a year and then it just got very repetitive. And the personalities were not really relatable enough for me to stick around just for that. BDS on the other hand are basically the same hacks (FP aside) that I play with regularly with very relatable and funny personalities. I can enjoy just watching them play without the different "challenges". You sprinkle in some collaborations with pros, food/ drink challenges and it just makes for awesome content.
I think in UK Rick and Pete Finch would be the big 2 with Bob coming recently, i think Good Goods content appeals specifically to young Americans
Good video, Nate. I do think that you should also keep an eye on BustaJack – great chemistry, great content, and really good but relatable golf. The Golfing for Ol' Glory series may be my favorite current YoutTube Golf content.
The only way BDS will grow is if the keep FP healthy.. I worry about his weight and health.. I love the vibes but if FP goes it will be hard to replace him
Shiels and BDS are fantastic. Great personalities. GG just doesn't have that. I like the kids but they don't entertain me. Give me the BustaJack kids over GG
Bob does Sports has to be the most enjoyable to watch from an entertainment purpose. Good Good is usually better golf. Rick Shiels is simply great for education purposes. They all have their plus sides (Fat Perez probably has more plusses on his clothes though).
It is becoming about good quality interesting content and it’s imperative to possess an appealing personality, one that is well balanced or the right “group” dynamic and formula.
Rick is the elder statesman and I appreciate his mature content with his humorous personality. BDS is just fun to watch these three guys blending so well together and GG possesses the same. Formula is everything.
A formula that doesn’t work – Grant and Micah. That’s a huge fail. Grant and Micah solo, not great and not working thus far at all.
Of all the golf YouTubers out there with more joining the scene I’m seeing Grant and Micah falling off. Unless they 1. Come clean with some honesty they’re always going to be the betrayers and 2. Unless they start becoming far more entertaining they’re gonna fall off real quick.
I know you’re just talking about YouTube but Fore Play has to be in the conversation for overall brand size. They have the biggest golf podcast, they sling a ton of merch, and their views on YouTube is often up there with the other 3 channels. Plus the Barstool Classic is a huge thing as well.
