If you struggle with chip shots around the green it’s because you have a chipping technique that is too complicated.

Chipping and the short game can be super simple if you follow the 3 step Danny Maude shares in this golf video.

Here’s what you are going to learn

1. The Chipping Set – Up that guarantees strike
2. Really understand the bounce and exactly how to use it.
3. Have a chipping technique that looks after the bounce consistently

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Thanks for the chipping tip! I've been fighting the yips for over a year and can't wait to try this!

  2. I have been struggling with this shot for some time now. So this video is like a shot in arm for me. I will take these tips to the rang. Thanks Danny.

  3. I feel like Danny Maude is one of the very few pros who actually want you to get better. Shawn Clement is another. Rather than put 1000 different thoughts in your head by showing numbers and percentages, he demonstrates in a very clear manner, what your body needs to be doing. The emphasis is always on motion and position rather than numbers and graphs and percentages. Thanks Danny.

  4. Danny I need help with the “Sh” word! No, not what what a little more fiber in my diet would help with💩😂. It’s the shshshanks at 100 yard in. I need help!

  5. Great video as always! You make everything so easy to grasp and then do. I credit you greatly in my dropping handicap. Cheers!

  6. Another brilliant video, Danny. I noticed you have a little forward press before you bring the club back. Do you recommend that?

  7. Thanks for this tip Danny! I did not know about proper stance for chipping, and always have used a regular stance like I was hitting from the fairway. Going to try this out today!

  8. What do you think of Micklesons technique out of interest? He says i should run for the hills if someone gives me your advice. He says wrists should break immediately. Everyone is different and I've always attempted chipping in the way you explain here but have recently watched Phils short game pt1 and had a play. certainly generates more check

  9. This is by far the best explanation I have ever seen! Going to the driving range this morning and trying it. I’m a 7 HC. Thank you sir as always! (Chicago, IL)

  10. Danny .. I am always trying to break 100, and I know that chipping is where I need to improve the most. I'm so thankful for this wonderful video and I trust your knowledge. Sir, I wish you the very best always, and you can be assured that you provide hope to us struggling amateurs 🙂

  11. Great video as always, Danny! After my 33-year hiatus from golf, something really important that I've found, after getting back into golf this January, is conditions. It would have been great to have added in just how much the ground conditions affect your ability to use that bounce. Only now that it's drying up can I really use that bounce, but it's been a real learning curve up until now to work that out, because no matter what I was doing, it was digging into that soggy winter turf!

  12. Hi Danny , thank you so much for the chipping refresher course ! With the help of your videos my life around the greens is so much easier. : )

  13. Just superb instruction and advice. Danny should be voted #1 youtube instructor of the year! Thank you so much Danny for sharing your knowledge!

  14. I just want to say ditto to all the compliments I have read below! This has helped.me so much with my chipping! Could you please do a video on chipping from deep rough and from slopes?

  15. Thanks Danny I try to keep the but of the club pointing at my belt buckle which then points at the target

  16. Excellent video. Reinforces so much of what I've been working on. In fact, after much trial and error, I have settled on my 50 degree and 9-iron as my standard chipping irons. But what I've also practiced and learned — maybe you could address this in a future video — is not making the hole my target but some point between me and the hole. Choosing a spot 1/3 of the way to the hole for fast greens and longer chips with the 9-iron, for example, or half way to the hole with the 50 degree for shorter chips on level or downhill shots, for example. I don't always get the intended result but my success rate is higher than focusing on the hole.

  17. Should see if you can work out a collab with Rick Shiels. He can definitely use help with his chipping.
