  1. Is there anything worse than picturing the Lions trading for a guy who’s 2 years into a 5 year contract and that guy wants a new contract and that guy is JALEN RAMSEY.

    NO.

    THANK YOU.

  2. Oh we now have a squad? The squad has amazing chemistry??? No way. Let’s add JALEN RAMSEY!! That’s such a poor idea!

  3. Media trying to turn the Lions into the Detroit Rams! SOL fans 100% on board! Let's throw away draft picks for an aging CB that could fall of the cliff as soon as this season!

  4. We don't need a Lamborghini. We need a quality Silverado. There's plenty of lower cost FA CB's available that will upgrade the position. Same with the draft. We don't have to have the very best one. We may have the $ now to afford it but a couple years from now we'll have to start parting with assets we don't want to lose in order to keep the Lamborghini.

  5. Thank you dion! We don't need a expensive older corner we are a young team we can build through the draft the right way we have. We've done great in the draft let's not mess it up

  6. This is why I am against the Lions trading for Ramsey. Any personality conflicts aside, his contract will greatly reduce the ability of the team to sign some of their own impending free agents, this year and in the coming two years. If you look at his contract he would count as $17, $18.5 and $19.5 million against our cap in 2023, 2024 and 2025. And that's IF the Lions don't take on some of the bonus hit associated to his deal. The Lions have to start thinking about extending people like St. Brown, Sewell, McNeil and possibly Okudah if he performs well this year and the Lions elect to not enact his fifth year option. The Lions have only 22 players signed through 2024 season. If CB was the only spot the Lions needed to really address, it may be different. But they still need to add pieces for both lines, plus linebacker, in addition to CB. Yes, Ramsey is talented and would help this defense with his abilities. But his contract is a sticking point, as is the idea of giving up high picks to get him here.

  7. The length and price of his contract aren’t right for at this time in the season… at the very least we need to see how our draft goes and maybe if we have a great draft that gets studs at positions of need and good depth players where we need them, only then might an argument be made that Ramsey is the right move. But at this point what do we have? Okudah who has grossly underperformed but might be suitable as a #2 corner. Will Walker come back worth his current contract? Does Joseph build on last year or do teams figure him out? Can we get better play from our interior line/linebackers? Can our running game stay healthy and a threat? Does Williams live up to his hype and projected role quickly if at all?

My point is simple… still way too many questions to justify taking on Ramsey’s contract Right now. Maybe our we prove to be legitimate contenders in our first 6 games this year. Then Hell yeah let’s go for it and try to win a super bowl.

  8. Good take. Obvious that you want him. Ha, I think you could take Brad Holmes place! 😃
It would be nice if we kept Evan Brown. He even plays center, when needed.
