  1. Fascinating stuff. Great to hear a perspective that doesn’t talk about getting into pretty positions and actually shows the numbers that produce the numbers. The more content we can get that focuses on this style of coaching, the better

  2. Absolutely fascinating Dan. The bit where the bottom half went one way and the top went the other and the idea of swinging the other way hard to help fire the body up. I’m 60 and swing slow but worth giving it a go to see if that helps. It’s the speed of the swing at different points that was surprising as well the difference between backswing and downswing is much bigger than I thought

  3. Tremendous video Dan. Very well explained Ben. These things can look so complicated at times but just knowing the sequences required is a huge benefit giving direction to work on the last few weeks of the off season.
Checking out prices on Bens website for analysis asap!
Maybe you need to create a ‘Chasing 300’series Dan? 🤔. Looks like you’ve got the blueprints.

  4. Social Media, love it or hate it, has been REVOLUTIONARY for golf. If you are hungry for knowledge, it’s here for the viewing. Thanks Dan!

  5. Wow. Now I know why I’m only a 23 handicapper after 30 years of playing. This totally beyond me. 🤯

  6. I like to hesitate at the top of the backswing like Hideki Matsuyama. I wonder what that means, vis-a-vis, the transition/hip firing speed. Hmmm….

  7. According to Taylormade’s GEARS data, Rory’s clubface going from about 90 degrees open halfway through the downswing to just over 87 degrees closed at the same time after the ball. Along the way, his club moves at 98 mph when the shaft is parallel to the ground on the downswing. A few feet later, it hits at 122 at impact. Milliseconds later, the speed drops to 86 mph. That some serious stopping power … which I had never understood until watching this video!

  8. Thanks Dan. This was a really good explanation of things I have heard before, but just explained in a very good way. 🤓 I agree with the many positive comments above 👍. Got me motivated to more wholeheartedly work on the left handed swings in my current SuperSpeed training. Also confirms another major swing change I'm trying to get done – previously my hips were very passive – now working heavily on getting much more done in the legs and hips, like this video confirms is where the power is. Thanks again! 🙏

  9. Really interesting. My rypstick speed stick training includes the LH swings and I wondered why. Thanks for a fascinating video!

  10. One of the best and most interesting videos you have done. Really shows the difference between good amateur players and pros. I thought the interaction between Ben and yourself was excellent and the way Ben explained things was superb

  11. I understand the hips brake so that the shoulders can speed up. This is easy to see on tour players’ slo-mo. Are you saying that the shoulders then slow down so that the arms can speed up, and the arms then slow down so the hands can speed up, and (I guess) the hands then slow down so the club head can speed up? And, all four of these “slow downs” happen before impact?? Thanks for the interesting video.
