Imagine the ball into the hole? That’s the secret to good putting?
I can do that!
I'm wondering if the fact that you work with your hands means that you have some natural ability. with them? In any case all good tips and thoughts and ones that I work with on the greens. Having a good imagination for physical outcomes definitely helps a lot. I would add for me that I've basically been using a modified AimPoint since I was young without the fingers, based on some tips I found in a golf magazine 40+ years ago. I straddle the line and feel the slope with my feet sometimes even at multiple points along the line with long breaking points.
I became very adept at feeling slight slopes by feeling to which side, and by how much, the pressure was going in my feet. If you lock your legs out on a slope and hang the putter from eye level it will angle itself according to the slope and give you a very good idea of the break. I'm rarely off by more than an inch or two on a break even on longer putts.
As far as the stroke goes, I'm pretty convinced that if your stroke frees up your trail hand to make an intuitive natural motion, you're gold. I believe that this is why Tiger practiced so many trail hand putts over his career This gives you the best chance of a pure and natural release so the trick is to use the lead hand and arm only for stabilization and let the trail hand and forearm act naturally as though they were solely responsible for the strike (this is actually true for the full swing as well but much harder to do).
BTW, the link to the Sasquatch video, if you are interested, can be found by searching "100% Undeniable Proof of Bigfoot. Sasquatch is Real". Cheers.
Players who are considered better putters usually have better feel and combined with good mechanics and a positive mind set can normally have good putting rounds
Is that a Ping Tyne Putter? I tried one the Golf store and felt really nice.
Hmm… might to need to hide that one from my wife.
Pretty 😎 video Chad.
Thank you
Some great tips and suggestions. Thanks Chad.
If you are going into putting sidesaddle putting while looking at the hole is terrific
Good video and I liked your talking points. My biggest issue with putting is in my head. For whatever reason the last 3 seasons my putting got out of hand and my head is wrecked. You just said keep it simple going to try that this season… 👍🏌️
Thanks for discussing putting. It’s the biggest difference maker…
Great tips, thank you
Keeping it simple is so true. Can we keep it simple with the full swing, with a driver in hand? I’m like so many people my full swing practice swing feels so smooth and effortless. Real swing not so much😡!
I would rather hit a ball in the water than 3 putt, I get upset with that the most as putting one of the most controllable.
