  1. Congratulation Ollie. I hope you start raising your hands in victory when you cross the finish line. It looks good on tv and in media pictures for marketing purposes and your pocket book. People want to see that. Also, Great interview after the race to. I hope you say things like "Thank you to all of the fans here today. I appreciate you being here to watch my great win." They like to hear things like that to.

  2. The announcers were so gleeful about Hoare winning that they only mentioned Myers' age as an afterthought, and even then they didn't try to figure out what time he had run. Disappointing.

  3. The age group record was completely lost on the announcers, who were really all about extolling the virtues of Oliver Hoare.

  4. Too bad the announcers did not recognize what was happening with Myers and called the race better. That young man ran with maturity, did not allow himself to be boxed, timed his sprint and paced like a veteran. Watch out for him!!

  5. Announcer: "A dive for the line for some of the minor places", uummmm, that was Cameron Myers outrunning three runners and taking third place.

  6. The 16 year old placed third — and the announcers don't even note this? Third is race for a "minor" place? Sure, then, as coined by Shasha Trusova everyone but the winner are loosers? Even if it was not a world record for his age, it should have been acknowledged.

  7. Ollie…. Ditch the ridiculous sunglasses. No one is going to poke your eyes during a race. Let us see your face..
