Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Great video Rick but unfortunately you’re completely misinformed. All you need to do to get better at golf is buy the newest most expensive clubs and play through the anger (it will make you play better cuz ur too mad to suck). It’s ok though, I forgive you 😊
My best tip is because my dad and buddies are not great for one single reason…. They dont do a proper warm up swing as you line up for every shot!!! Its one of 3 ways i see, all incorrect: #1- No warm up, just grip it and rip it…. #2- 1 warm up swing, super half cares lazy… or #3- 6 warm up swings which gets them extra tired when they actually go to swing and ruins the tempo of the round too! My advice, 2 warm up swings. One just full swing to loosen the back and hips and shoulders, and the 2nd one to dial it in and retain muscle memory. The 3rd is your actual ready swing at the ball. Voila! its amazing how much that routine is critical to the average golfer trying to get better but never do it right or at all. I personally use 3 warm up swings for all hynrids and woods, because the stick is longer and its a little more memory to dial in a good contact when is 40+" long.
Old school Rick video gotta love seeing him still giving advice and encouragement to more and more people!! Keep it up!!
Token Coaching video. Bank Balance running low Rick? 😂
🔥🔥🔥
Excellent advice.
Thanks Rick will definitely put these into plan.
Tip 3 is great for Rick Shiels – he should watch this video.
I have a toothbrush 🪥 attached to my bag to clean my clubs
Love the videos Rick, great stuff!
Nice little video and good tips
Great advice.
Watching the last break 75 and sorry I can't remember the golfers name but everytime he played a less than perfect shot, he was like that's fair or it was always a positive comment about the shot, Rick recently let's every not so good thing get him really down, just something I'd noticed
I suggested the 3 holes thing to my wife.
She didn't seem as interested in it as me.
Great ideas – I will try to use them next time I play.
Very good advice. Especially the play with better players advice. This works in every single sport. Warming up is also a very good one. It reduces your chances of injury and prepares you for the round. Cheers.
Great info ! Getting over that bad shot is the hardest
I started splitting my scorecard into 3 hole segments last year
. Really helped me stay focused and keep my emotions in check. I try to play each 3 hole segment in 1 over par. If I blow up a hole it's a lot easier to put behind me.
The best part of Tip #7 is it's fun to watch good players up close and if your game is going to pot at least you can be entertained by someone else's play! lol
The little things add up to big things. I've broken up my scorecard into groups of 3 since my dad took me to play mini golf the very first time. I still do it to this day since I started playing the game regularly. Good stuff, Rick!
Great tips Rick. I like the idea of splitting the card into 6×3.
7 tips in 7 minutes. Great job editing team!
i started licking dirty windows an hour before i tee off a year ago and now i'm playing much better and i find if i poo 5 minutes before i tee off i putt much much better
I agree with everything apart from matching what club your playing partner hit so many variants on lofts his 6 could be your 5 yes watch the ball flight wind effecting it but know your own yardage and stick to it
Cheers Rick. Some excellent advice on how to approach the round of golf with a positive attitude and great tips on how to manage your round.
Aim for the center of every green, regardless of pin placement. That has helped me a lot without changing anything
When’s the next break 75 episode? Thanks!
https://youtube.com/shorts/W1OxvKCQZO0 also eat fish on the first tee and sing happy birthday you will play great
Those 3 holes at a time is an amazing idea. Golf is such a mental game also, that is brilliant.
I'll try tomorrow……😇
new golfers. dont watch this please. Thank you.
Rickie is coming for you!
It’s a amazing how many people neglect #7. Shying away from better golfers only reinforces the idea you’re not going to play well. A lot of people would be surprised that most, not all, but most good golfers are accepting and supportive toward golfers who are not as skilled as the rest in the group.
Love how; to show what not to do Rick hits a bad drive on command. I too have the ability to hit bad shots at will 🫣
I've got one way to get better and that's not watch your swing.
Great video – easy ways to improve that score for sure
just a note: in an official match, there are specific rules about what information players can exchange, outside an official match, it's what you and your partner agree on.
Great video 👌
Even when you have a good shot, you should wash the ball. I have had so many shots where I thought it was perfect and I go up there and I can’t find it. Maybe somebody has taken it.
Great video. Really like the 3 hole idea.
Easy to find better players when your the worlds worst 😖😖😖😖😖😂😂😂
tour ready
Also clean your ball when on the green. I've seen my friends miss putts because their ball had a chunk of dirt on it
No8 practice what your preaching you may just break 75 sometime
Love breaking the scorecard up, great tip!
8. flop shots only around the green
I like the sectioned score card, end of the round I just take out the worst of the 6 so I can break 90
Rick, when are you going to tell us if you're hitting a new driver?
im so guilty of not watching the ball its not even funny
I love that 3 hole breakdown. Prevents you from getting ahead of yourself and calms the nerves down. If I mess up on these three, I can work on the next. Absolutely love that!
