Aaron Murray discusses Alabama quarterback Bryce Young’s game ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. How will Young adjust from the star-studded roster he had with Nick Saban and Alabama to a low-level NFL team like the Chicago Bears or Indianapolis Colts? Would Aaron take Young over both Ohio State’s CJ Stroud and Kentucky’s Will Levis?

Perhaps hope for 3-4 good years on rookie contract. If looks like next Brees extend & hope for best. If not could be next Darnold, etc. LAR gave up a lot for one SB win.
Lunatic talking.
If Seattle draft him Pete Carroll knows how to protect Bryce.
I'm a Hawks fan Russ was great for 9 years and only missed three games. Russ gained 25lbs for sure , he needs to drop 15lbs to be good again
Not drafting a guy that small, same thing I said about Tua and Kyler. I don't want a QB that has to be Drew Brees just to be functional.
They won't do it but Houston should go defense with their pick and wait on Caleb Williams next year.
I would say that part of the "something to be said" about 6'3" 220lb quarterbacks is they've been drafted… a lot. Even if you only count Drew and Russell as the success stories for "smaller" quarterbacks, it's still a higher success rate than the literal thousands of busts at qb with a "traditional" build.
Bryce is so small cj stroud would be the better pick
It's not just that Bryce Young is so small it's also that he has arm strength like Tua's. Where as Russel Wilson or even Kyler Murray have a bigger build, way stronger arm, faster, more mobile and both were arguably better players in college and didn't have luxury of playing for Alabama
I’ve been expressing this concern on Twitter. But people take it as hate.
If you put Stroud or Young on the worst roster in the NFL they’ll get hurt and get the yips maybe. They will need to be nurtured and protected until the OLine can protect them. They dnt know what it’s like to be on a bad roster.
Even Joe Burrow got hurt.
If you’re a team that needs to build an OLine pick Richardson or Levis and make him compete with a washed up vet just to spread out the hits.
Dnt pick one of those surgical QB that come from an advantaged place like Bama or Ohio St and get him hurt trying deal with a bad roster suddenly.
Something about this kid is special. I know he’s small but if you just watch him play, he’s dynamic, confident, poised. I love his game. I’d gamble and trade Fields to draft this kid. Just my opinion.
