  1. I have irons up to 7i then a 9 Wood g430 along with a Sim 7 Wood and the ping g430 5Wood so much more confidence.

  2. I just purchased the Callaway Rogue ST Max 7 wood as I already have the LS Driver and HL 3 wood. Perfect gapping from my MP20 HMB 5 iron.

  3. 😂😂😂 TRUE STORY: at the end of last summer I decided that I no longer wanted to carry my hybrids (a 3, 4, and 5), sold them and pocketed the money. Went out and did some Goodwill hunting one day and found an Adams Speedline 5-wood in excellent shape for about $4 and then a couple of weeks later found an old Wilson Deep Red FatShaft 7 wood (for about the same price) at a different Goodwill. Regripped both of them, practiced a few days, played a round or two and YESSSS, they performed wonderfully!!! They will be in the bag from now on! I own an older 9-wood and I might have to start using that one too!

I would say that if you have thought about using higher woods, and you want to save money, see if you can find them at a local thrift store and try them out before you sink money into newer ones. They're BRILLIANT!

  4. Would’ve looked at a 9 wood but for now my 5 & 4 hybrids still do a good job and can be played high or low. I have the Ping G425 5 & 7 woods and get the same sort of performance as you got from my 7 wood. Just so much better than having to try to swing fast with long irons.

  5. 7 wood over a 5 iron all day long. It's the best club in my bad right now and I love it.

  6. Having my fitting in March. Will be trying 7 wood AND 9 wood compared to 4 and 5 irons. This was a most interesting video episode. Thanks, Ali, for bringing this idea to us.

  7. I have been trying Callaway Epic 11 wood in bag this season. Might be a little too much gap with my 7 wood.
