For the previous few years, track and field limits have been pushed beyond anything previously imaginable, however in February of 2021, one decision changed everything

hmm, interesting thought. Shoes have been evolving for decades. Perhaps records should be for shoe and non-shoe categories? Seems like this would be a difficult set of parameters to enforce.
Every generation has had better shoes, so as long as the mechanics of the shoes do not have some type of spring loaded thrust which activates upon every step, the improved shoes, if available to all the runners, is part of the whole excitement of breaking new records. Each generation can never be fairly compared with the previous generation head to head, as even the training methods have changed over the years. Only a man or woman who makes a record which stands for 50 years under inferior training techniques and inferior equipment, can be truly said to be the best there ever was in the history of recorded sports. Each new record breaker can enjoy their moment, even if that moment is overtaken at a later date. Some have even broken previous records and come in second place so the enjoyment of breaking records is scaled by perspective. In the end, where you end up for an eternity, is the only record that matters. Roman 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.
Congrats! This is a very effective Nike promotional video.
Viperfly or snakefly no one will be able to touch Bolt for 20 more years
Let everybody in the race Weare it.
BULLSHIT DISCUSSION.
I support the ban of the viperfly but don't support the idea of banning the airzoom maxfly
Hello! I believe that i can provide some good feedback for this video. I feel like you title, although sure, it's good clickbait, there is nothing wrong with that, already assumes that the viewer knows what they are going to watch. However then in your video you explain the very origin of nikes use of the carbon plate as if the viewer knew nothing about the topic. My recommendation would be to match these two viewers and pick one and stay true to them. So either you use a title which assumes the viewer knows nothing (so use a more descriptive title like why these nikes are BANNED or something like that) and continue on with the video as it currently exists or keep the title and skip the into to shoes which most runners would probably be very familiar with already. Hope this helps atleast a little!
Doping is cheating but it's allowed to some special athletes and I don't understand why the management allows these shoes in the first place
They should run bare feet
Spri g shoes huh 🤔 bare foot run then
Why don't they all wear the same shoe & compete. There, everyone's happy. Meanwhile, thumbs up to the innovators.
No cheating
never forget that Ethiopia and Jamaica are track. 🇪🇹🤝🏾🇯🇲
All athletes must be allowed to take part in every athletic event only in plain tennis shoes …all fancy shoes of any type must be banned asap ….
Its not fair I could strap my shoes to a car and say its just a innovative to racing
Pop a pair on everybody, problem solved.
Just have everyone use the shoe, bozos
Yes. These special shoes actually DELIVER energy Back into the human legs. And….. If you just sit back, and think 🤔 about it…. Hussein Bolt has always had an EXTREME ADVANTAGE ⬆️⬆️⬆️ ABOVE everyone else, on the track. Because…. He is SOOOOOOOO much taller than everybody else is. And so…. With the combination of loooonger bones. And considering that the muscles 💪🏿 always follow the bones in the growing process. And because of his height advantage… And these badd azz SUPER SHOES…. You can tell…. That it is only because he has ALL of these advantages, that he he runs Soo fast.
I would have to wear them, to know for certain!
I think as long as a shoe isn’t genuinely rocket powered then it’s fine. Let’s be honest if this shoe starts breaking records everyone in the pro world will have them and it’ll be fair again. I love a world record and I’m definitely not alone.
Where can I buy these?
They should be allowed but somebody is going to have to figure something out about sponsorships and how to make it fair for the other athletes such as the ones being sponsored by another company like adidas or something although I guess that would push other shoe companies to step up their game, interesting thing and it would be nice to put up for debate.
Kenyans + Nike = chaos
“We should make an Olympics where athletes can take as many drugs as they want. F**k it, let’s see how high humans can REALLY jump.”

i’m glad this spike is banned but oh my gos I would pay a lot to watch Usain run the 100 in these
As long as it's available to all, it seems fair to allow it – Technology does not stand still.
I’m sorry, but we need to get over the whole tech assisted argument. Take the 100m sprint. Jesse Owens set a world record at 10.2 sec in 1936. If you then gave him the pro gear of 2006 he’s finishing in photo finishes with Asafa Powell. The Improvements in technology would take .4 sec off of Owens fastest time. Pretty much in any racing sport the drop in times correlate with some improvement in technology.
Yes! It should be left for competition!!!
idk i kinda feel like if you're only the fastest while wearing special shoes than you're not the fastest. but also people need shoes and you're allowed to have the best shoes around so idk. probably in the real world the shoes will win, because money. but i think we all know it's a bit lame.
