What would be your number one driver of all time?
Aerojet is $549 in the states
I tried the Titleist TSR2 and TSR3. I though they looked, sounded, and felt amazing. I've never tried a driver that felt so good. However, I tested it against my 2017 Callaway GBB Epic, and found no difference in distance, and my bad swings still led to bad results. I saved myself $599.
As for resale, my five year old Epic still sells used for about $200. I think I bought it used in 2019 for $250. They really do hold their value.
6:44 When I look at these prices, I am damn happy that this past October I bought a new 2021 PXG 0211 driver custom made to my specs for US$126.56 (includes delivery and any sales tax). I doubt that I would play any better with drivers in this review that cost up to four times as much.
Is there any driver with a significant difference?
Great review Mark and interesting comments especially when you trade in. I tend to change every two years golf is my hobby now I’m retired, and so trade in prices are important to soften the blow when buying new equipment. Even the big brands drop my TSR1 was £499 now after a year £140.
driver technology has essentially peaked out. at this point, its new cosmetic/skin changes every year with the same tech. cant do much, with USGA rules on driver specifications, unless there is a new breakthrough in material science, drivers are going to be the same tech for the foreseeable future.
How can you be calling driver of the year already when we are only in the middle of February? Some of these brands have at least another 5 or 6 to release before the end of the year.
I don't swing it the quickest right now, I'm doing speed training etc, but I still prefer the duller sounding clubs, I've got the Cobra Speedzone at the moment and I don't like that higher pitch sound. I know it's daft but it seems to be really loud and echoes a lot in driving range bays that are covered, and it really makes me paranoid to hit it as I feel like I'm putting other people off. But on the course I can tolerate the sound as it doesn't echo so it's not as harsh, but I think that would be a big factor on my next driver, I'd choose one that's got a duller sound so I can swing guilt free on the driving range 😀 I know that's probably a rubbish reason to buy a driver!
Great video Mark. This must have taken you ages to put together
Mark challenge for you, if you got a average 10 handicap (210-220 yard carry) and say coach fitted them with one of the new drivers would you be confident that you could get more gains with a lesson than the new club ?
I am available by the way 😁👍
Great Review.
Best driver review I have seen in 2023
All this amazing tech but they are limited by smash factor. MOI is only thing they can actually work with and that seems very even amongst every driver these days.
But no mention that the Wilson DYNAPWR is available in a carbon model as well???
Thanks for the review. I'm a new golf looking to move from my package set (Callaway Warbird). I'm tempted by the Paradym.
No PXG ?
In Canada titleist, Taylormade, Callaway same price ,Ping 10$ more and cobra, srixon & Mizuno same price
No Wilson Dynapower???
Nice video from starting to ending, nevertheless as the economy crisis keep rising, one needs to have different streams of income, a well detailed diversified investment portfolio in the financial markets is needed to survive, as well as secure a profitable investment future!
No PXG GEN 5?
