  1. What plane are you looking at? He's across the line at the top and way under the plane in the downswing! He has great talent to be able to not hook it more often!

  2. No upside to being on plane throught the swing. Backswing plane irrelevant. All the great ballstrikers were under plane coming down then cranked it on plane. Only place you care about being on shaft plane is from shaft parallel to ground before impact to parallel to ground after impact. Hogan was well under plane coming down. Not many hooks going on there…

  3. there is an "upside to being on plane" (shaft plane) "throughout the swing". No plane shift required. The greatest ball striker EVER, Moe Norman , proved that. His swing looks so "unconventional" it scares most everybody out of trying it.

  4. There is always a plane shift. Moe shifted too and has said so. Moe obviously set up on a 'shoulder plane' so he didn't have to get back down to a 'forearm plane' so less shifting is visible. Unless you set up on a shoulder plane like this, which Miguel doesn't, you can forget 'one plane'. It would take someone to win repeatedly on the world stage to validate that kind of swing and have people learning it. I'd rather have Hogan's mechanics personally. His record is a little better than Moe's.

  5. Moe set up on a 'right forearm plane' and stayed as close as any human I have ever seen ON that plane. He shot 59 three times, won 57 times and set 40 course records in Canada. He joined the PGA tour but quit in frustration because he was made to feel like an outcast because of his lack of social skills. So he went back to Canada. He once played with Hogan and Hogan told him that in golf "a straight shot is an accidental shot".. Moe told him "well watch me have another accident" lol

  6. Yeah i know all about Moe and his records. His forearms were on his shoulder plane at address. The shaft and his arms were nearly a straight line i.e a 'shoulder plane'.

  7. Him and Vijay look the same on follow through. Never noticed that til now.

  8. Vijay just has that flippy right wrist past follow through but I agree. Same look when bringing the club up.

  9. sometimes you just need a double conformation that you agree with yourself.

  10. I hate this type of golfer . Old , cigar , bit of a belly , then beats you by 10 shots. Walking off the 18th and thinking 'how the f*** did that happen??' Great player.
