Great review Sophie and look like great irons. I’ve got T300 currently and very happy with them, but will out of interest test the G430, Stealth 2,
Cobra Aerojet, probably not Callaway as more expensive.
Ping has done a great job creating a good looking game improvement iron! Sounds very good too with that thud!
I am a Ping fan but not a big fan of the looks of these clubs.

Loved your review Sophie on the new Pings…I was looking to upgrade from my 425 irons to the 430 irons…I’m a Ping guy and was looking at other models due to the yardage that they give, but I’m sure now after seeing your review that I will be getting the new 430 irons…keep up the great work…

Lower height… and lower spin..lower loft…than the G425 there's your extra distance.
Thanks for your vid. I like Ping, but I’ve always felt that Ping lacks something in their line up. The gap is too large between the G400/700 series versus the i200/500 series. The G400/700 series has too much offset, too thick a top line, and too large a face. The i200/500 series is just a smidge too small, especially in the longer irons. They have nothing in the sweet spot occupied by Apex, P790, ZX5, etc.

Nothing has changed in irons in years. It's almost all hype. Here are the major changes in irons over the past 55 years:
— Cast clubs with perimeter weighting (Ping)
— Oversized irons (Callaway)
— Perimeter-weighted forged (Hogan)
— Hollow heads and multiple-metal (many)
— CG moved throughout the set (many)
— Single-length (A few; Wishon is my favorite)
That's it. Everything else is incremental.
Do you want desperately to hit your 8-iron 10 yards longer? No problem. Hit the 7.

Thanks Sophie. Bottom line is that they altered the loft and CG to get more speed but retain launch. The trade-off was the loss of a little bit of spin. They still look like hockey sticks to me, with that long heel to toe distance. Probably a good club for the player that needs distance but has trouble losing the ball to the right (for a RH golfer).
These new power bats just scare the shit out of me, as I am a highball hitter with pretty good spin with my old Adams irons, and they play well in the Kansas winds I play in as the SPIN helps keep my ball online!!!
But these NO BALL SPINNING irons with some Kansas wind, I see the ball flying all over the place with NO CONTROL and the ball dropping out of the sky with no spin running anywhere but where you want the ball to go !!!
Everyone chasing the fake extra distance BULLCRAP, all you are doing is hitting a stronger lofted iron with a HIGHER NUMBER stamped on it to make your ego THINK you are hitting it longer ……LOL
Another good review. Well done Ping for showing integrity with their equipment releases. Taking thier time to make actual improvements. TM seem to want to have something new on the shelves every other week. After watching reviews on the Stealth 2 there are minimim improvements. Last years looked better I thought. Its these bold claims that make you feel the club you've had for 10 mins is now useless. I just feel this agressive sales technique is unjust. Take your time and bring something out when you can really substantiate claims.
So as a golfer they have made lofts 1* stronger. Gained 4 yds ,slightly decreased backspin by a negligible amount ,lowered spin by .3 degree . Please someone find an older club head of the identical loft put the same shaft in and put it on a robot to hit. Then we find out the improvements made not by just increasing loft. I am sceptical of the claims v reality
I can’t wait to get 45 degree thru 8 iron and 7, 6, 5 hybrids!
these vs apex dcb? guess ping had to go to taylor made "distance sells", too bad but understand… Id LOVE forgiveness of G430 WITH feel and distance control of my old i210s…dream iron.
