► In this video, Joel Tadman pits two of the leading better player irons up against each other to try and determine which model out of the Ping i230 and TaylorMade P770 is the better overall package. The irons have been designed slightly differently and the size varies too, so does this mean one might be more suitable for a certain type of golfer over the other? Be sure to watch to the end to find out…

  1. The only thing that confuses me about the i230 is the higher bounce. I guess this is good for someone who has a negative angle of attack but not sure how it would affect a sweeper? I do like how easy these are to launch and they do go fairly straight, even with off centre hits.

  2. I currently play i210, and looking for a new set for next year; I’d have either of these in my bag

  3. Own the I230s. Best iron I've hit. Dispersion is tighter and lots of feedback off the face. Plenty of spin and stopping power on the greens for me. Best money I've spent as I'm seeing more greens now without fliers or inconsistencies.

  4. The i230 was a big disappointment for me it was brick hard not in the same league as the I 210 the p770 wasn’t much different to the first p770 which has a much better feel cheers jj

  5. I230 is one of the best irons I've ever hit in my life. But as a digger, my Srixon ZX7/ZX5 combo may be better.

  6. Nice reviewe but those irons are too blase and plain…Can't get inspired to play them. Wilson Staff D9 and Mizuno 225 are come get me irons…Thanks..
