This ultimate high MOI driver comparison of 2022 tests the most forgiving drivers of 2022 from the 2nd Swing fitting bays. Each of these golf drivers is designed to deliver explosive distance and excellent forgiveness. But which model is the most forgiving?
In this video, 2nd Swing’s Drew Mahowald and Thomas Campbell test eight forgiving drivers, including the PING G425 Max, Titleist TSR2, TaylorMade Stealth, Callaway Rogue ST Max, Cobra LTDx, Srixon ZX5, Mizuno ST-Z 220, and Tour Edge E722.

Can you test forgiving drivers for fast swings as well?
2 year old model is the sweet spot in my opinion
Am I wrong in thinking that if you loft down the Rogue ST, you would get more out of that club? Decrease launch some and lower spin?
I’ve played one round each with the rogue and stealth. I felt the stealth played a little longer and I really liked the ventus shaft. But I’m still gaming my Maverik fairway finder. I just didn’t want to shell out $500 this year.
Seems like manufactures have the 460cc limit pretty much optimized. Except for the LTDX. Maybe it's the shaft, maybe Cobra has something different there. Very interesting.
Please do a normal golfer test with ultralightweight shaft with extra head weight vs stock vs heavier shaft with a lighter head.
i was at the range and one of the other golfers complained my driver is too loud. guess which one i have? ha ha ho ho ho merry xmas
Two things. First while I realise why you were using the same shaft is it not the case that some shafts suit certain heads better than others? Second though I was using stealth I recently switched to the tsi1 which has given me much better results – carry distance, more optimal spin numbers, better launch and trajectory and reduced dispersion. Tsr1 not out yet and don’t expect it to be that much different to the tsi1 for such a player. Again different shafts in each to suit the heads more.
If the winner isn’t the G425 or the STX, this isn’t real. As a fitter that almost never fits solid players, those are the 2 drivers that consistently produce better quality shots and ball speeds, almost immediately after putting it in people’s hands
Recently bought the Mizuno STZ and really like it. With the price discount it's literally half the price of the Titleist.
For the price (I'm seeing nearly new for under $200 on ebay) the Mizuno ST-Z is the best bang for your buck. Numbers are right there with the brand new TSR. I'll pocket the $400+ thanks. Hard to beat the all white Mizuno head cover too!
i had a Srixon ZX5 and it was one of the worst drivers i have ever had. Probably the shaft but it turned me off the brand. Ping, Tour edge, too noisey. Stealth and Mizuno look ok for me.
Don't think you can go wrong with any of these.
Great work, gents… Tomas, unrelated topic… Will you still be sharing your progress on Superspeed? You posted some great segments in the past on the topic. Thanks! 👍💪🙌💯
