In this video, we fit irons for Alec. He is a mid handicap player and shooting in the mid to high 80’s. He has never been fit before and has enjoyed the process.
In short, he was playing a regular flex club and only carrying it about 175. Trent fit him into a club he liked the look and feel of, and gave him a stiff shaft. Now he is hitting it 195!

I have rarely if ever seen anybody hit a 7-iron that hard 😂😂. Crazy club speed.
needs to slow down just a bit
When hit 5 balls in a row within 10 feet, at that height and distance, close the laptop and walk away. If anything, this screwed this kid up.
His old clubs are golden for him! There is obviously a reason why he has not gone to a fitter before, there is no need. I do wonder though that if he is that consistent, why the steady slight push? With that level of obvious skill even a slight adjustment to stance or grip should fix such a static error. Additionally why swing the irons like a driver…? I would go a 80% 5 iron over 95% 7 every day all year, should he do that, he would be + handicap. Perhaps he plays different, but then why do that in a fitting? when the goal is to tune in your clubs for course use… Anyhow that is superb athletic swing and he should treasure his clubs that support it!
Not seeing a need for new clubs here….but i'm not a paid PGA Professional.
Mid handicap my butt!
Im sorry, but this video makes no sense. He finished with the same shot shape, but a much worse dispersion? Simply putting a line stick on the floor and teaching him to play with his shot shape makes much more sense to me.
Is a 1.44 smash factor good? I hit a 7 iron and 4 iron and 1.44 was my average smash factor.
Why a stiff shaft and not an x flex?
Ruined his golf game lol 😆 , nice swing iam not jealous much.
I wonder if he was swinging harder at the fitting than he normally would. I didn’t see what his current clubs are but with that distance and dispersion he should stick with current irons.
A 10 handicap who usually shoots in the “high 80s”? How does that compute?
Before changing clubs, flatten yours to limit the fade and see how that works first.
🤔 Shooting upper 80's and is a 10 HC ?? Shouldn't that be more 15-16 ?
Before you do anymore with the clubs,….go back to what he is gaming. The problem is in his body setup and direction when taking his stance. Looked a bit open with the left foot turned way out front.
“Mid handicapper”
That swing speed? His short game must suck
The guy doing the monitoring is cool and so informative Where is he located I wonder The young man hitting states he plays in the 80s wonder where in his game he struggles because hes a hitting machine
Just needs to go to stiff shafts instead of reg.
What’s the on course numbers… opposed to perfect lord pinchin off a mat? Not a fitter but is there any bias results mat vs turf
That's the problem with a fitting, you get tired
Currently gaming stealth irons and have them 1 degree upright and I'm able to draw and fade the ball
The problem this guy has is he believes that these guy's know what they are doing and fitted iron's will make him a better golfer WRONG.
Are these stock shafts? Dude needs the stiffest flex you can get with low spin , low launch. That ball height is ridiculously high.
Fitting never t really helped me. You play long enough you know what does etc you are not hard to pick a shaft after 30 years
