This tip will ADD 20 YARDS to your drive. In this video Top 50 world coach Alex Elliott shows you how a 10 second tip will add 20+ yards to your drives with a slight change on how you rotate in the golf swing. A lot of golfers struggle to get this right, which has many consequences.

It is important to hit up on the ball with driver as it is essential to maximise your driver distance and so many golfers get this wrong!

As a PGA coach delivering golf lessons I always want to make golf simple, improve golf aspects like distance, ball speed, stop slice, stop hook, hit your driver straighter, stop your slice, turn your slice into a draw, how to hit a draw, hit more fairways, how to swing the golf club.

  1. Looking forward to trying this. Was at the range for the first time since watching your video about the club face being open and it’s helped me a lot. I was still doing it every now and then but it will take time for me to get rid of some of these habits I have. Hopefully this will calm my arms down a little too!

  2. Alex you’re the man. All of content is great and I always look forward to training methods. Keep posting the best content on YouTube 💪🏽

  3. I always feel confident in my practice swings and then as soon as I address the ball, it feels completely different and I start to overthink everything!

  4. Thank you. I will give it a try tomorrow.
Your game seems to be improving every video.
I think you must be following your own advice.

  5. Top Top tip. I will be trying the tip of swinging on your knees. I can grasp the geometry of the swing path. Cheers.

  6. I usually do the what I call “baseball swing” when warming up before stepping on the first tee box to help get my mind set on a swing round. The looks I get from people still cracks me up. Then when I bomb one 270+ down the middle I get the last laugh. Great tip Alex! Live your videos and really wish I could get lessons from you.

  7. If I follow every youtube video that says it adds 10-20 yards to my drive, I'll be able to carry 600 yards in a couple of weeks 🤣

  8. I find that if I get too flat I tend to push right slice. I try to feel I’m over the ball to swing down the line.

  9. I had a few shots on the oval with a 7i after months of swing practice in the back yard of a friend of mine. The ball flew much longer than I anticipated and as a result I lost three new balls in the long grass behind the oval. I was much impressed at the distance gained. Thank you so much Alex. Great, clear instruction.

  10. That method of standing and swinging around your body reminds me of a tip I got eons ago… it was done in similar fashion with the tag line of chopping through a tree with an axe. I've just got to remember to rotate my left side without 'spinning out' with my right side in the downswing. Can you please show that method with and without proper rotation and spinning out? Many thanks Alex.

  11. I got a new driver just before the end of the season. I tried the crouch on the tee box as it was the 2nd last round of the season and I wanted to try some fun suggestions on how to hit the driver better. I clobbered the ball, one of the best drives of the season. I absolutely endorse the drill you just did. It certainly helped me, I wished I had tried it before the snow showed up and our season ended.
