A quick update on the reopening of Miami-Dade parks, golf-courses and boat ramps.

Yesterday, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced the reopening of public parks, marinas, and golf courses starting this Wednesday, April 29th. However, the municipalities will have the final say. While Miami Beach confirmed the reopening starting tomorrow, the City Of Miami parks will remain closed. Beaches and non-essential business also will remain closed.

Miami-Dade County is reopening with certain safety measures in place including no sandbar parties, no contact sports, etc. Dog parks, playgrounds, picnic tables, outdoor exercise equipment and skate parks will remain closed.

These rules will be strictly enforced and residents not following the new ordinance will be asked to leave. Those who resist will face a $500 fine or possible jail time.

Stay safe and healthy and, please let’s not forget physical distancing.
