How can you keep the arms quiet? lol……As the great Bob Toski says:
1. The hands hold the club
2. The arms swing the club
3. The shoulders carry the club
The hands are the holders, the arms are the swingers, and the shoulders are the carrier. How in the world can you not use your arms????? If you do as you say by swining the club with the big muscles you are not going to be able to SWING the clubhead as well. YOU BETTER BE SWINGING YOUR ARMS! Your shoulders will react.
This is a tremendous advice Mr. Elliott. You explain it in such a simple, easy to grasp way, that I had it figured out immediately. As Jimmy Ballard says "it's the dog that wags the tail and not the other way around". I took this tip to the course today, and it not only helped me play loose and relaxed, but I posted a score I hadn't made in a long time. Best rgards from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
