This golf club sounds like it’s stuck in an age where it doesn’t want to grow the game! I hate these courses that don’t understand that the game of golf is coming Into a new age, YouTube, styling etc has come a long way and there is so many old school member’s out there that are just c**t’s you sound better off 🎉👍🏼 also where can I get some merch that hoodie and Tee look clean 🔥
Common problem with golf clubs with an older demographic, older don't generally like change. Time these old boy golf clubs modernised.
Mate, unfortunately you are so right, golf is such an old fashioned sport and I've been to so many clubs where you are frowned upon, tattoos, the odd swear word, I don't care I play my golf respectfully and with respect for others and if the VERY few don't like it and I mean very few, have a good look at yourself, respect Ash I love what you do, keep it up fella x
This sounds exactly like my Club with a group of people who are so stuck in their ways they dont see times changing or want change. They have already driven so many golfers away with their attitudes and reluctance to open their eyes to the bigger picture
Boss channel this Ash keep up the top work mate,I've found loads of clubs I've visited have a core group of coffin dodgers that think the club is there's and there's only mentally which is killing the game
Wow Ash, that's mental. Gutted for you…but at the same time pleased that you've got into a club that understands what you're trying to do.
Fortunately for us, at West End our Pro is a YouTuber so we get some form of backing 😉
We play 4, 5 and 6 balls and have no problems from our members, we, like you would give way if there was ever the possibility of holding someone up. It's easy to just stand to one side and filming does take longer, sometimes much longer 😉 so it's the right thing to do 👍
You will get members like that wherever you guys play … Just be careful though you're complaining about an age demographic that I'm quickly approaching 😉

That's mad! I remember letting loads of people through when we played the subscriber scramble. Those people we did let through, were really interested in what you were doing and really positive. Shame that clubs are still like that.

Great video! This is exactly the same at the course I play at the old boys are so stuck in there ways and unfortunately are never going to change this is the reason alot of younger golfer stop playing

Played at Braintree a few times about 10 years ago. Agree with everything you have said, hence why we haven’t been back since. Hope to be at your Crondon day next year
Best thing to happen to you boys and us as a collective moving to crondon. Welcomed so well, the little things they have put in place for you boys is also class. You missed the part where members were moaning that you drove down the 4th from the 3rd tee box. How dare you try and score well!!

I think you've hit the nail on the head ash (Regarding clubs with snobvy old wankers who think they are better than most). In all honesty I was very dubious of playing golf 3.5 years ago because of the snobby, unwelcoming attitude that came attached to the sport. Luckily enough at my club there's a clicky group and some bell ends but all in all it was quite welcoming. But I know that sort of club. Good for you guys with the new club and may the amazing content continue 💪🏌♂️👍
Sucks to hear the club treated you so badly. Classic backward mentality of the some of the older generation wanting to keep the sport elitist and overly exclusive.
And I can safely say had we not waited 45 mins for a loads of groups to play through, you boys would have spanked us. P.s. Thanks again for the bag 😉
99% of people on a golf course are friendly, courteous and accomodating of any ability, but one encounter of that 1% and your game can be ruined. Fair play for calling them out
Sadly, it’s probably all too common a story. Happy that my club isn’t like that and also that you’re well away from there. Onwards and upwards. ⛳️🏌🏼♂️👊🏼

Hope you can make bigger and better content at your new club 👍 I’ve been a member over at Warley Park near Brentwood for 5 or so years now, they’ve always been great with me filming and tagging them in my videos 👍 as you say, Always film vlogs in off peak times, let people play through, and they have a 9 hole course over the road that’s always quiet, which is handy.
I’ve had plenty of funny looks and comments over the years at loads of courses, even though I’ve not impacted their game at all…to quote Ted Lasso, people are judgmental, not curious.
(The part with I assume your missing crawling under the table – 🤣🤣🤣)
For golf to continue it needs to evolve and it needs the interest of the younger generation. The people moaning about new people and filming will be the same people moaning when their club closes due to lack of revenue.
I’m not far from Braintree, and I like watching you boys because your local and will play courses that I could play and have played, will be the same for lots of your subscribers. Poor from Braintree but on a positive I live closer to Crondon 😂
They probably think Jack Nicklaus is still the number golfer in the world 🤪 although he is a total legend 🏌🏻♂️
Thanks for filling us in on what happened over there it is always a difficult thing to have to come out and tell the truth that will probably disappoint some of their decent members but for them this could be a learning curve and help them bring Braintree in line with most other clubs.
I know you’ll love being at Crondon as it’s a great course, I’ve played there many times over the years but hadn’t been there for at least 10 years and came back a couple times in the summer with mates and met some great people there.
We will all look forward to the video where you all try and get a par on the 655 yard 18th 😜
