Clay there's a fantastic example for why early-releasing results in "muscling" — take a look at figure skating, where the dancers would tuck their arms in for the spin, then spread their arms back out for the stop. Maybe giving those examples can help students understand the matter even better.

  2. Okay now finally someone has found a way to explain this in a manner I can progress to. I have tried to force lag by trying to feel my wrist remain set in the downswing instead of just slowing down the momentum as you explained and letting natural forces get me there. Great video!

  3. Playing tennis you almost never cast the tennis racket. The racket lags behind because of the bent trail wrist and you are leading the handle of the racket forward before hitting the tennis ball. The motion is similar to the downswing in golf.

  4. Don’t bother signing up for your free video. It is a 50 minute infomercial. And that’s enough to get me to press the “don’t recommended videos from this channel button.” If you wanna sell something then sell it. Dump these predatory sales tactics where you spend an hour telling people they just have to do this “one thing” and “your buddies will be jealous.”
