Maybe they are defected Srixon Distance balls? Marathon / Distance, similar? I have only ever seen them in Sports Direct too
I won two dozen of these last year and they lasted ages. Not a bad ball to be honest once your used to them.. in fact I found them nicer to hit than the ad333. They are quite durable too (if you keep them outta the sand haha)
70% off at Sports Direct is a CON
Those two pitchmarks are class. Another great video Simon. Followed you from the start. Your presentation is as good as any nowadays 👍🏻🏴

I have used srixon balls for the last 20 ish years ad333 at first then z stars then both (z stars in summer ad333 in winter) and on every single ball i have looked at they have that funny dimple thing going on…must be some kind of design feature.
The only thing i can guess about with the ball you have is that when you look online that ball has 333 dimples on the ball.
That was the reason the ad333 got it's name.
It used to have 333 but it doesn't anymore yet they keep the name going.
When they changed the ad333 it was the most used cheaper ball world-wide.
I am guessing that those balls are just a rebranded ad333 or they just didn't want to use the 333 in the name of that ball but i have never hit it personally so I'm just guessing….either way imo srixon make great golf balls (so do alot of companies other than titleist or Callaway).
I find there's always a deal on srixons online.
I buy 6 dozen at a time and have never paid more than £29.99 a dozen….always had my kids buying me them for xmas too so i probably have enough to last me for years.
I don't lose too many 🤞 so i retire to them at the end of the round if i haven't lost it and it's gone through all 18.
I love Srixon and they don't make a bad ball…. (insert screech sound), apart from the marathon distance. The counterpart to this ball. Trust me you'd pick this one out of a blind test every time. I picked some up for a mate who uses the normal Srixon distance ball. Now them being discontinued makes sense, they felt and sounded awful.
Bought these this week and played with them today. No issues at all! With the ball anyway, loads of issues with my game though ha!
Seemed very durable too.
I recall seeing some Marathon range balls awhile back.
Marathon = Soft Feel 'X-outs'!
My first ever balls were srixon. Tried others but always come back to them. Use qstars now, good balance of price and feel
I'm willing to bet these are the exact same 2-pieceballs as the Srixon Distance, which are about the cheapest ball they make. Then re-branded purely for sale at Sports Direct.
How about cutting them in half for comparison with the other cheapest Srixon balls?
Run out already at yeovil mate
HI i would love you to do a review Ram lazer tour, £50 for 72 balls i think they are terrific balls , you get tour balls bit dearer, £70 for 72, or ram distance same lazer tour, £50 for 72 balls you get them ebay and amazon , please do a review and tell me what you think, i have used all season great not lost any distance great around the green,, please do a review and let me know, i love them
Bit pedantic perhaps but it's actually 60% off , the sticker states up to 70 % off . In fact there's very few things in sports direct without a discount sticker !
Finally someone has done a review on these . I have left comments on Peter finch And Rick shiels channels. Great balls available on sports direct on line site. Seriously brilliant value .
I read somewhere that they are Soft Feels re-branded to sell in discount stores in the US so as not to upset the pro shops and that Sports Direct occasionally buy a truckload. I tried them and they certainly feel the same.
Mid-handicap golfer, 15, and with this ball shot my most recent sub-80 round. You may have looked for imperfections, I looked for value which returned performance. This ball performed better than Z-Star and Q-Star in respect of 79 strokes in one round! Loved them and sold out locally.
You offer unique content. As a player who grades his round by number of found balls I believe Srixon isn’t a big seller out here in Cali. I find some but not like ProV’s or Callaway’s. Maybe Srixon players are better?
Good enough for winter golf.
Are they not just exclusive to retailer balls like the Callaway Hex they sell on Amazon?
Those v300 24 balls for £15 and 48 balls for £23 (used to be 48 for £20 during covid) are decent and when you first start, as the ball doesn't really matter if it's sailing OB. V300 soft 48p a ball.
I play these when I’m not hitting my Z Stars so well.
Softer feeling but same kind of ball as the AD333. Great winter ball I’d say, simple 2 piece ball with a bit of feel
Agree easy mistake thinking of soft feel. Like you never heard of these 😅could they be the seconds from the factory?? 🤔
They’ve been in Sports Direct for years. I’m not sure if they’re discontinued, I remember looking them up years ago and couldn’t find anything about them. Sports Direct used to sell Callaway CXR Power/Control balls too and I could never find any info on those either.
I have never heard of them before. At that price point they seem from your review to be a decent golf ball. I will be on the look out for them. Great video.
Never heard of this Srixon ball. Haven't found one either… I keep a large bin where I put all the balls I've found while golfing. I use them from November through March since they didn't cost me anything.
Is Kirkland, being a 3 piece ball, a better deal for the price and performance?
