How to choose the correct shaft for your golf clubs
In this golf tips video we will review how the shaft of your golf clubs can have a big influence on the quality and shape of your golf shots.
We look at the differences between graphite and metal shafts, and how graphite is a lighter material well suited for longer clubs (driver, woods, hybrids) and for those with slower swing speeds. We examine how club shafts now offer many customizable options such as different flex levels (stiff, regular, ladies), kickpoints (high, mid, low), torque and even weight.
We recommend that when buying new clubs you go in for a custom fitting that will not only look at the different clubhead options but also the shaft profiles that will help you hit better golf shots and longer, straighter drives.
Quality golf club shaft manufacturers to consider are True Temper, UST Mamiya, KBS, Mitsubishi, Project X, Aldila and Fujikura, to name a few.
