Fantastic explanation. I've always said, before anyone gets golf lessons, they need to understand the physics behind the intention of the golf swing. The mind muscle connection is drastically better once you know WHY you are supposed to do certain movements. After that, everything falls into place with practice.
A really great video and explanation Chris thanks, i need to work on this and that cleared up a good number of mistakes ive been making. great job thank you.
Fine to see, yes. But I stick with my "no wrist bend" move, which gives me personally more confidence for the time being. Just a fine putting stroke like movement has improved my short game a lot this season and has shaved 4-5 shots in a round. I still want to have this free-like movement if I'm able, but when I'm ready i guess. By the way, your topping abilities and you duffing techniques are NOT as good as mine. Good topping and duffing is an own art. 🙂
Nice one Chris 👍 👌
Nice man love the lessons!
I used to have a relatively good short game compared with my 20 handicap. But of late, it’s gone a bit: my practice shots are great but when the ball is there, I can feel myself decelerating into the shot. So frustrating. Your video will help me to address this nonsense!
This is a really well made video. Good angles and lighting. You’ve got proper chapters, but not too choppy. Clear audio, but no lip smacking. Ten out of ten.
Depends on the day. Today I hit two 40ish yard pitch shots within 1.5 feet of the flag. Other days not so much.
One of the best n most important chipping video! Radius control is so important….thanks Chris!
Excellent video. The swing radius is the key. Thanks much
Hi Chris, do you ever play the ball further forward in your stance to encourage a lower flight and a bit more spin. If the fairway before the green is in great condition, I like to hit 10, 20, 30 yard shots off my front foot, flag at the front, 54 deg wedge, middle 50 deg wedge, back 46 deg or 9 iron, but all played with the ball slightly forward.
Why does Phil talk about hinge and hold?
Hi Chris, Great visual! I have an issue with not choosing the correct club for the chip even though I have make good contact, the ball rolls out too much.
So much to take in but put across in simple and understandable terms. I have been making the mistake of making my chip shots a little too arms-y; this video provided a light bulb moment (actually quite a few). Thanks Chris
This is an excellent chipping video. Probably the best on YouTube. Well done and thank you!
