  1. I wouldn’t expect to get any more than 500-600 swings out of a glove, and that’s at the very high end. Golf gloves are definitely a consumable commodity, closer to a ball than a club. A baseball glove you might keep around for years, a golf glove not so much. When I was playing seriously a glove would only last one to three rounds, then I would burn it out in a practice session or two.

Unfortunately the nicest feeling gloves are also some of the quickest to wear out.

Weather, sweat, how you grip the club, how many and how hard your practice swings are all going to factor into it. Finding one that fits your budget (like balls) can be tough. At the moment I continue to recommend the Kirkland gloves to most folks. Decent enough quality, hard to beat the price. If you find they don’t work for you than it’s generally best to just go to a golf or sports store and try a bunch on to find the one you can keep buying (same as you would do with balls), it shouldn’t be overly tight as to be uncomfortable, but also not loose in any area.

    Congrats on the low round!

  2. Thanks for sharing Metro. Congrats on the round. I know you are sold on TaylorMade TP5s but if you are still willing to try other balls, Snell Golf balls are really good as well and they sell gloves at really good prices. Probably 1/2 the price of other big brands. They only discount the gloves if you are buying balls at the same time and they are direct to consumer. I usually go through one of their gloves about every few months. I play weekly and usually go to the range about 1-2 times a week. I tend to use the older gloves for the range and keep the new ones for my rounds. I am in So Cal so summers are hot and sweaty as well.
