I build the perfect set of clubs for a mid/high handicap golfer. These clubs are the perfect blend of forgiveness, ease of use, price and performance. Hope this helps!

Struggle so much with the hybrid and fairway sections of my bag.. interesting I stayed away from stealth because I thought they were a bit more geared to the better players
Can you review the titleist t300’s Pete?
Look forward to the match!
Driver – Callaway Epic Speed 9.0 degrees
Hybrid – Taylor Made Burner 19 degrees
Irons – Titleist T300 5-AW
Wedges – Titleist Vokey SM8 54/60 degrees
Putter – Taylor Made Rossa Maranello
Ping Hoofer bag, Vokey sm8 54&58, Seemore putter, Titelist T200 irons, Ping G410 4hy, Tour Edge 4 wood and Callaway Epic Max LS driver
Tidy selection! My bag is made up of 20yr old hand-me-downs but still make me smile..sometimes 🙂
Landed it again, Pete. If you’d like feedback from someone who has come bsck into the game after a long absence I’d be happy to help via your giveaway. I’m still my b-make from 13 years ago.
Loving the way the callaway rogue st feels! Tried it the other day just need a few more pennies to buy it
I’ve was fitted for a ST Max driver and love it. My irons are older but I’m not sure if I can justify new ones. I’m very inconsistent – but will better irons help with consistency or do I need to improve my game first? I was fitted for irons and they said I need 2° flatter lie …. I just don’t really know how much difference it will make. It’s hard to tell after hitting a 7 iron a few times in their practice area 🤔 Maybe you can help me out with a giveaway Pete 😉
When people are beginners they aren't looking to invest too much money into a set. The problem with this is that only a minority of people are willing to invest this much as a beginner in golf. I feel like you should be suggesting cheaper clubs that are more forgiving / but still look sleek and nice in the bag like the Takomo 101 irons, Kirkland 3 piece wedge set which is incredibly cheap and great performing, and either used or cheaper drivers than the major retailer latest model driver which performs just the same as a driver that is 6 years old in terms of a beginner.
Great video… I would love a set like that… They just cost too much in South Africa
Was this a meme? Building a bag for a "new" golfer just shy of 2000$ dollars including a low spin driver and while the odyssey was a high MOI putter one of the other options was a newport 2…
I’ve been using a set of Rife clubs, which was my first set a couple of years ago.
Since no big YouTuber seems to have reviewed them I have no idea how good they are. I don’t want to be splashing the cash on new clubs without getting more lessons to improve my technique. A top is a top, whether it’s with a rife club or a Ping 😂
Love the video good info of how to build your bag
I’m all consistency! Sldr mini driver, m5 5 wood, m1 hybrid 4&5, forged tec one lengths 5-pw and ping glide 2.0 52,56,60 wedges. Dropping a big head driver immediately shot 78, first time under 80. Play off 12.2 but 5 hybrid vs 4 or 3 iron is a no brainier! No ego here, just lower scores!
Blimey, expensive set for high handicap I think
I honestly think u put a bag together for the privileged cause that bag just ain't justifiable for a beginner golfer and deffo not a couple a times a month golfer .😂😂.however that being said apart from the driver I think u have picked great .
Love the vids Pete !!
Clubs would be unreal and reckon they’d definitely improve my game and confidence 👍🏼
Excellent choices. I have the Vokey SM9's as well (60°, 54°, 50°). TM Spider X putter, TM Stealth gamer, Takomo 101 irons, G425 max 3w and 7w.
I have the g410 irons (5 – SW) and 4 hybrid. I love them. Took my driver out the bag and went down to a SIM2 5w – able to keep it in play so much more and scores are coming down.
Not sure whether to upgrade my putter or put another wedge in the bag – currently got pw, sw and 60, so some quite big gaps.
I'm jonesin for a new set of sticks
Titleist Ap1 716, Vokey wedges, found balls, titleist bag, TM Berwick TP putter and Titleist TS2 Driver…. beat that
Lets make a less expensive option.
Wedge- Kirkland wedges 52-56-60 $159
Balls- Kirkland 24 pack $25
Putter-Kirkland $150
Irons- Takomo 101’s $459
Hybrid- PXG 0211 $174
Fairway wood- PXG 0211 $174
Driver- PXG 0211 $190
These would cost half of what was shown on here and perform better for a high handicapped golfer.
Like 196 of 7.8k here Pete… I’m swinging a Top Flite Gamer complete set, and have added a misshaped wedge from Amazon so far, lol! Nice shot Good Buddy!
Good video peter thanks
Great video!
I recently got fitted and clubs are all over the place…Stealth+ driver, Ping G425 3W, Callaway Epic Flash 7W, Srixon ZX5 irons 5-PW, Cleveland CBX-2 in 48* and 52*, Cleveland RTX4 in 56*, Sub70 in 64*, and Mizuno M-Craft VI putter. Dropped my handicap from 20 down to 14 this year.
Current of Callaway Apex irons 4-PW, Callaway MD Wedges 46,50,56,60, TM SIM Max Driver, 3 Wood, Hybrid 19 & 22 Degree, TM P790 2 iron, Odessey Putter Triple Track.
Ball I use either TM Tour Stripe or Triple track ball
Callaway Epic Tour Bag
Bushnell range finder
Can't wait to see the match!
Best suggestion is a half set of irons , I agree fully . Although I would not start with a four but 5 7 9 gw
