Management at the highest level of ball striking is placement. Placing your shots, leaving yourself angles, missing in the right areas, giving yourself an easy second shot, avoiding the short side (tee shot and green) are seriously important at the professional level, and even for scratch players who want to get into plus figure. At this level, it requires adept ball striking to the point of total control over the flight (sidespin and traj) before you even think about trying to apply this. Either way, management at the highest level is placement, and giving yourself the best next shot.
