  1. Loved this video guys .. gotta love Richard aka "Hamster" nothing better than when 2 of my favourite things come together… car's and golf . Great job Rick and Guy .. you gotta have Richard on as a regular. Looking forward to the content 😉🔥

  2. My two worlds colliding, literally. Been re-watching top gear for the past week. Definitely did not expect this to pop up on my recommended.

  3. I actually had the same problem as Richard did. I went to buy clubs and they were trying to sell me on customized clubs. When all was said and done it was going to be about 3 grand, plus or minus a few hundred dollars, depending on the brand. And I just couldn't justify it since I'm basically a brand new golfer. It's like, is spending 3 grand going to make that much a difference for me over spending $700? (Which is how much I paid for a good set of used Callaways.)

  4. I think anyone who has openly mocked golf, only to find themselves on the fairway, cursing themselves at 7:30 in morning every Saturday in their 30s can relate to Richard. I had this same experience this summer. Never thought I would like it. I said "What makes you think I would like this?"

A few months later, and dread the coming of winter for yet another reason. Baseball is done, driving anywhere is a chore, and now I can't go out on a Saturday morning and be frustrated as I try to get really good at something new for the first time in almost fifteen years. Great episode, and beyond wild to see Richard Hammond on the show. Just don't get into the cart with him. He has a bit of a record behind the wheel.

  5. In Japan you have to buy hole in 1 insurance because if u get a hole in 1 you are exspected to trow a big party

  6. Love Richard and the rest of the boys…..you guys too! Great interview! Golf isn't just for the elite…..it is for everyone! Have fun!! Idea…Drive a golf ball VS. Supercar…….at what point do they equal out?! 100 yards….225 yards? And play around of golf too….. 🙂 Someone who has thought about the issue of people moving around in vehicles…..refreshing!!

  7. Hole in one rounds of drinks are pretty universal, but in Japan it’s another level… people buy hole in one insurance to massive cover the costs of the party.

  8. Something I've been noting about Richard Hammond is that he is always steering the conversation offtrack. Maybe something happened along way in his life for him to be like this now.

  9. My dad and I are massive fans of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, recently I’ve taken up golf and am absolutely obsessed with it, now that both have collided I can’t compute it 💀

  10. I can correct you. Most of those British formalities of golf stay across the pond. I've worked at a country club and played all types of courses in the US. Golf is definitely more relaxed here. Its also so much cheaper here. I think South Korean golf is much more like British golf: expensive and formal, but still fun.

  11. Guy, stop messing with the mic everytime you speak…….It hasn't moved, it's still pointing at your face.

  12. Hilariously my clubs are worth more than my car, about 3x as much if you include my trolley, golf bag etc

  13. To get Jeremy or James into golf you would need that swingless golf club and then they would ramp it up so it could handle shotgun shells..

  14. My brother-in-law invited me to play at his very exclusive club. I pulled into the parking lot in my 1990 jeep Cherokee covered in rust and parked next to a Ferrari. Felt like I should be cleaning the carts not playing there.

  15. Huge Guy Fan here. Just to avoid confusion. Not my stature, I am an average build and a heterosexual. Just really like Guy, seems like a real Mensch.

  16. Awesome stuff! there is a serious idea there for a segment 'Teaching Celebs'… get onto it! thanks guys

  17. I look forward to the competition. I also thought golf would be a bit boring and stuffy before I tried it. but I like it because you can make 200 bad shots, and one good shot, and be happy with the good shot.

  18. The 2nd full round of golf I played I was told the rule about a hole in 1 (the buying a round). So, I'm from California, this has definitely jumped the pond, and made its way to other end of the continent. I was 9 at the time, so I was actually terrified of making a hole in 1 for years lol!

  19. What a fantastic guest! Would love to see him back on the channel going deeper in conversation about golf and cars!

  20. For the last few years (before I got a new vehicle), my golf clubs were probably at least 3 or 4 times as expensive as my car.
I'd turn up to a semi-private club in my 1996 Toyota Tercel and pull out a bag with brand new Cobra irons, Ping driver, and Cleveland wedges. 😂

  21. I love Rick but I wanna say I'm always so impressed with Guy on this podcast. He adds so much and is so good at moving this show along, adding interesting insights, asking questions in the perfect way, and summarizing things quickly. He just makes doing this show look so easy but he's so smart and good at it, it goes unnoticed how hard it is until you watch a different show with someone who isn't as good.

  22. Always thought that Clarkson and May held Top Gear together and this bole bores me as he's doing here, just my opinion 🙂

  23. Bagged a whale with this one Rick! Hammond is arguably the biggest name in presenting (in the U.K. for sure). It has been really exciting to watch your channel, and reputation, grow over the last ten years – now to the point that really famous people know you as someone important in the world of golf. Now, If you can just get Clarkson and May, then you will have quite the coup.

  24. Was there was a self burn from Hammond when he mentioned that if you are not focusing you could drive the car over a cliff? This would be when he crashed the rimac

  25. Richard Hammond could make the perfect car for a golf club car park (on drivetribe). The golfer's holy grail if you like.
