I played Dornoch in Scotland. No5 in the world. 2 courses, driving range and practice holes. Annual membership fee was 2017……..£700 per year. I’m Australian royal Melbourne no6 in the world is about $15k aus joining fee and 3-4 maybe 5k.
I drank with a caddy from Dornoch. He caddied at some course in Florida in the winter. Annual fee was $300k. What a waste and a wank of a course.

So me and my three buddies that have been playing together for 20+ years used to play that course when it was called Blake tree. Incredibly long incredibly difficult golf course designed by a very renowned designer prior to Tiger Woods buying it. We literally played there every weekend of the year on Saturdays. We would play 36 holes each time we went out. We always said it could host a U.S. Open. The design changes actually hurt the golf course and had to be softened up so that members could enjoy it. It sucks that we can't play it anymore because we're not rich enough
