Welcome back to Me and My Golf where in this weeks video we give a golf lesson to on of our members Jim. Jim was struggling with hitting it off the toe and did not have much control with his irons. After giving him a couple of moves to get his golf swing in a better position we then gave him a drill that is new for 2022! That we just knew would make it so much easier for him to pure his irons more consistently!

I like the coaching aids.. Those mats and the shadow drill was good..
Epic lesson indeed!! Turn, shift, turn!
Great video. Going to give that a try myself.
I was going to come and see you at the Astbury then realised you moved away. How’s California lads?
Interesting stuff. I just had a lesson working on exactly this!
I turn back too much myself, shoulders and hips going past 90 and 45 degrees. Weight shift is good, but I still have that upper body and head leaning slightly back. Leading to inconsistent low point and strike.
Been working on really feeling my left shoulder and chest pushing/turning forwards through impact, and also putting a towel two clubheads behind the ball trying to move that low point forwards, avoiding hitting that through impact.
Very similar stuff. Remembering to turn through the ball and not just shift forwards is a key thing for me to remember too.
Great lesson.
I absolutely love this channel- I wish I could have a lesson from the pair of you. Great video as always.
Hmmm I've very curious about teaching "no sway". If you watch AMG they show that every pro moves the center of their pelvis back about 1-2" on takeaway/backswing and then end up 4" or so in front at impact.
Nice one lads ,never seen using the sun to feel the position to be in great tip and loved the turn ,shift turn to make thoughts simplified 🤔👍
Excellent video. Love the shadow drill.
pure them! I wish I could just hit them! I don't think even you guys could help me lol
I struggle with getting my hip turn, and as in the video, I have successfully focused on my right hip backward while simultaneously with right foot inside (big toe) pressure on the ground…I really believe this has been key for me. Again, the exaggeration of these items was really necessary to develop the feel.
I had a nasty slice as well as hit a lot of shows blocked out. I realized my weight was on my heels and put a lot more weight on my toes. I began hitting a draw without changing my backswing or follow through. THIS is a major component of the swing that I cannot agree more with!
where can i get that balance stick
My struggle as well .. the way and turn. Great still using the shadow to help with both issues! I'll definitely be using this! Great video again, guys!
Rotation for the nation 🏌⛳
Yikes great lesson
good video, I struggle with pulling it left after making my grip stronger, would be great to get a video on this, what may be causing and how to solve – thanks
Great video, thank you!
I struggle with contact, take a really deep divot. Hoping this lesson will help with that.
Wish you guys were near me, so I could get lessons and fastrack my game 😃
Great vid guys! I’m a 12 cap and this is my swing fault when it goes wrong. Worst instructor phrase to ams is shift your weight to the back legs in the backswing (when not explained right). Messed me up for a while that’s for sure.
@meandmygolf I hope you can help. I’m coming back to golf after a 25 year lay off, I was a 3 handicap when I stopped playing but I’m currently finding that I hit all my clubs very very high and no where near as far as I used to.
Any ideas what could be causing this and tips to work on ?
Thanks
Scott
looking at his swing there is no way he is a 10 handicap
