Aren’t they independent contractors? They used to be paid to travel to other countries to play in tournaments but now they can’t or if they do they’re banned! Stupid!

What Bullshit this is a PGA TOUR LAWYER TELLING US THAT BECAUSE LIV GOLF EXISTS THEY ARE NOT A MONOPOLY. SEEMS THAT THE PGA TOUR AND DOJ HAVE CONSPIRED TO GET THE RIGHT DEMOCRAT JUDGE TO HEAR THIS CASE. AND THE PUBLIC GOOD COMES INTO THE JUDGMENT EQUATION ????? NOT !!!!! PRECEDENCE HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN THE RULING IN SCOTLAND AGAINST THE DP TOUR. THERE IS NO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT FOR GOLFERS BUT THAT IS SURE TO HAPPEN DOWN THE ROAD. THE PUBLIC INTEREST IS NOT THE ARGUMENT. THE QUESTION IS "DOES THE MONOPOLY PGA TOUR HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THESE PLAYERS" THE PGA TOUR MEDIA BLITZ IS TRYING TO SWAY THE JUDGE WITH THEIR ARGUMENT THROUGH THE MEDIA OF PUBLIC GOOD. THE QUESTION IS DOES THE PGA TOUR HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ITS MEMBERS FOR PLAYING IN OUTSIDE EVENTS WHICH IT HAS ALLOWED FOR YEARS. CASE RESTS THEY HAVE ALLOWED THIS SO THEY MUST ALLOW PLAYERS TO PLAY AS LONG AS THEY HAVE MET THE CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP.
Golf channel as we now know represents CBS, NBC and PGA Tour, its sad you got corrupted too by the corporate pockets tht sponsor PGA Tour. You no longer represent the players as a whole since you are not neutral.

– – -you cannot be member on both competing leagues. LIV players will lose their case.
Interesting that PGA claims NOT to be a monopoly or anti-competitive because they increased prize money. Would they have made the same increase in the absence of LIV Golf? I think not. And forcing players (independent contractors) to agree to only play PGA events is not attempting to establish a monopoly?
