Hey y’all, it’s Edgar Evans Jr. coming live from Scottsdale National. Today I’m going to help you hit your hybrid just a little bit better, and then we’re going to help you work that ball just how you want to. I’ve got my brand new PXG GEN5 Hybrid. This is a three hybrid that I use all the time, and first I want to talk a little bit about your approach to hitting this hybrid. A lot of times when I’m working with people back at Atlanta Country Club, I see them try to help the ball up in the air. So, they’re really trying to do this as they hit the hybrid, but we still got to hit down on this thing just a little bit. Your thought is you want to kind of pinch it against the grass, and that’s what’s going to shoot that ball up in the air.
I got a phenomenal drill to help you. I have a tee all the way in the ground. My goal here is when I make a swing, I want to make sure that I hit this tee, okay. Make some type of contact with the tee. Make sure guys, when you’re setting up, that ball’s up there past your heart, and your feet are a little bit wider. That’ll help you not dig down, and hit too far down to it. Make sure when you have that hybrid is so forgiving, especially this Generation Five, putting a tee is going to really help you. Now, let’s think about this. What if we’re on a hole? We want to hit a tee shot, and the hole’s really doglegging to the right. How can I work the ball?
I’ve got a little secret that I’m going to share with you guys. All I do is… It’s all in my left hand, the glove hand. I just take my hand and I just turn it to the left. Okay. Golf is a game of opposites. If I want to hit it to the right, I just take my left hand and I turn it left. I’m going to do the exact same thing. I’m going to try to hit this tee and make a full swing. This left hand position’s going to help that ball leak off to the right. I’m going to show you how it’s done. I’m going to turn my left hand to the left. I’m not going to change a thing. I’m going to hit that tee. I got a great feeling that ball’s going to scoot off to the right.
Oh man, little cut out there. You kidding me? Try that out. If you want to hit a little bit to the right, take that left hand, turn it a little bit left, and do that tee drill. You’re going to love these Generation Five irons. I guarantee you.

This is great! Thanks for the left hand tip. Love my Gen5 hyburrito mucho! It’s so stable and the weight ports allow whatever you need from a mass stand point on misses.
