Depends on your swing speed if you are very fast driving iron if slower then Hybrid
I use a hybrid and 5w and 3w. I live in an area with low wind conditions.
I am a firm believer in feedback and that TM p790 giving good feedback will make you a better golfer.
I used to use long irons and I would practice with them to get me in sink quicker.
Every miss hit is exaggerated and shows you what you are doing wrong.
So there is that. But more important is getting bite on a green.
Im not as long as you but on a 220 yard shot, if I hit the green with an iron,
it is not going to hold. Whereas with a hybrids higher launch and spin….
they bite every time. And they bite like an 8 iron. The ball is always
next to the ball mark. A draw it will be 5 feet max left of the ball mark.
Even though I don't get the feedback, the results are always way more consistently better.
I do play cavity back irons that have great feedback and have helped me with
hitting the middle of the face like I have never done before. That transfers up to my
Hybrids that I don't hit nearly as often as irons. My longest iron is a 6
My next club is a 6 Hybrid. I love that club.
then 5 and 4 hybrids.
I switch between 3H and 5W depending on the course.
My TM Sim hybrids and woods are so much better than the ones I used previously.
More forgiveness, feedback (not much but any is appreciated) and higher launch with less loft
that gives me the same distance with bite.
Having said all of that, I want a long iron stinger for the few days the winds are up.
Because wind kills distance on longer shots like a crazy amount.
