Wondering which golf brand has made the best driver of 2021? Us too. So we tasked equipment editor Hannah Holden with testing the latest models from the likes of TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway, Ping, Cobra and Wilson throughout the year to see which each has to offer.

So what did she find out in her testing? And which is in her bag? You’ll have to watch the video to find out…

  1. Excellent review! Mizuno and TSi are clubs I want to try based on this this review. Thanks

  2. Great review Hannah! I've played the Ping G400 Max for the last few years and really like it. But after 3 years I figured I might be giving up something by not playing one of the newer drivers. I tested the Ping G425 Max and the TM SIM2 Max earlier this year and they were both great — but I didn't like the hollow sound of the Ping. I'm leaning toward putting the SIM2 Max in my bag — just hoping it's under the Christmas tree 🙂

  3. You had Mavrik in the bag last year. How do Callaway drivers from this year compare? Same with your 2021 pick the SIM2 Max? Looking at an upgrade. Thanks!

  4. Tested the G425, Calloway Epic, TM Sim 2. Best results with the TM, but no different to my Radspeed weight and distance wise. The Ping I found too heavy and just couldn’t get on with the Epic.

  5. What do I have to do to play a round with Hannah, I think is would be a blast with her!

  6. What happened to the PXG drivers? Those were some of the longest & forgiving drivers I tested.I thought for sure they would be in the top 3

  7. Would have loved for you to have taken a look at the Cleveland drivers including the Draw bias version.

  8. Great choice with the SM2. It won the “coveted”’spot 🤣 in my bag this year. Couldn’t agree more…long and forgiving with IMO a great sound and feel. Could actually see myself gaming this for a while!

  9. Great video and this year the TM sim max found it's way into my bag. Didn't ever see me moving away from my Titleist tsi driver but the sim 2 max has killed it this year for me 💪

  10. I traded my sim for zx7, best decision ive made for golf equipment zx7 way better driver way more workable and consistant

  11. Hannah you always deliver. When I saw the preview with you holding all those clubs I thought ……..there is 90 minutes I am never going to get back 😂. But you cut straight to the chase and that was a splendidly concise video! You are still the best club reviewer on line for the average to low handicap male …and not just in England!

  12. …that's quite an impressive and comprehensive list of Driver examples. Being a newbie, if I was more knowledgeable on Driver then SIM2 would be my go-to. I have read and seen a lot of good reviews. Having recently got RadSpeed irons with a SpeedZone Xtreme Driver, it was interesting to hear your comments on that. Regardless, what I found most fascinating was the Wilson D9…(?). Funny thing is here, they were my next set of clubs I would have purchased (purely, IMHO, for value/bang-for-ya-buck). Either way, nice work Hannah, once again delivering awesome content. Cheers to you! Dann

  13. Two brands you did not test are PXG and Tour Edge, the latter receiving excellent reviews even from U.K based reviewers. I have not seen a MacGregor in the U.S. in a dozen years and Yonex either, but obviously available in the U.K. But overall we have wonderfully performing equipment from many golf companies making the purchase decision difficult, and your video will surely help in that regard.

  14. There isnt a bad driver…but getting the right set up with loft, shaft, length and settings is a process of elimination. I have done so much experimenting and still cant beat my Z785 for shot shaping which is where these straight drivers fail..

  15. Interesting. Having myself tested many drivers also against many previous ones I think that you pointed out some key aspects. Others include the choice of stock and other shafts as well as feel and sound. A couple sounded a little tinny or noisy. Having had tm, callaway, Ping, srixon, prgr, Nike and many other brands in the pas including most recently the sim max (which I did not like it get on with despite loving my previous m2), I decided to try some others also looking at alternative lengths, lofts, shafts. I ended up with the Pxg proto with a cb shaft and higher loft which now gives me 80 per cent fairway hits even at the expense of 10 or so yards- well worth it. As I don’t slice ever I hate and don’t need any draw elements even in the std drivers so narrows the options somewhat. Have never tried the mizuno drivers though have often tried the mizuno irons which used to be the best feel but not any longer.

  16. I really enjoy when you test clubs and drivers .your very informative and just love hearing you go over the specks and going over numbers.please keep up The great work.have a great day from Florida

  17. TM drivers are crazy fade biased how can you say they are draw biased? The lie angle alone is like 3-4° flatter than others. But I did enjoy the video you did a good job.

  18. Every golfer is different, I hit several and ended up going with radspeed because of forgiving and distance. Color scheme is ok

  19. Great review. Would’ve loved to see the Srixon ZX5 as you did a few in the other ranges. Still great review and your swing is cracking. Wow, you smacked them hard.

  20. Ive got the Sim 2 Max ordered, hopefully coming next week. After testing it against the RAD and 425 it was just longer and more consistent than the others.

  21. WOW, you are a monster with the driver!! I wish I had a swing like yours! Very interesting comparison, but I DID NOT like the sound that the Ping driver made! Seemed extremely loud!

  22. Since PXG dropped the price of their 0211 driver to around £200, I personally find it hard to even consider looking at a new driver from the major brands.

  23. Hanna – Happy New Year!! – But where is the data and statistics. – Verbal commentary is Great!! But we need the data!!!… I am a Fan! Thanks Jim
