Mike works with Austin to strengthen his grip so his club doesn’t feel unstable during transition.

I’d put the camera in front of you next time when reviewing the replay of the swing…
How about https://youtu.be/HNKmF8eNe6Q ? If hips are rotating perfectly, bowed left wrist is highly useful at impact! 3 best golfers (Joh Rahm, Collin Morikawa and DJ) in the world are bowed wristers even at the top of backswing. And they have amazing approaching proximity.
Couldn’t pick up views but lots of blank screen or the back of your shirt?
Love it
Excellent instruction.
awesome. so Good!! ty
I noticed that with a stronger grip (seeing 3, maybe 4 knuckles), it's a really uncomfortable set up especially since I have a very muscular upper body and not much flexibility…but at the range I will hit it pretty damn good like that..it almost seems impossible to shank and if anything might pull left just a bit. But when I'm at the course I completely go neutral or even weak and it causes me to shank so damn much😫😫..then I try to go stronger then I just completely forget the feeling of it
Very interesting. The case for a strong grip continues to grow.
I gotta get rid of my gut… Nice swing and great instruction!
You are awesome. I've been listening and watching for awhile now. But that was such an eye opener.
Excellent !! but Mike got a coaching on how to use camera on a on-line setting
Great stuff. Since I’ve been following you on your site, my index has come down to a low of 10.5 from in the 13’s. I’ve also broken 80 a few times. Is it perfect, obviously not but I am a believer. All of these videos really help ingrained your teachings. Thanks.
Monsieur Malaska, you’re the crème of the crème of pro teaching in the whole world. I can even say you’re my favourite on you tube. Your advices made me a real better golf player and you have all my gratitude. However, seriously, this video is unwatchable. ( does this word exist in english?). Looking forward for the next one!!! :-))
With Malaska move and Tiger Woods/Butch Harmon video, i finally managed to understand how to swing and hit a ball like a pro swing. Without amateur basic errors. I'm so happy man!!!
Malaska and Tiger swing are pretty much the same method 👉club in front of the hands at transition (which is abt 30% of a downswing) and at the final part of downswing, all you have to do is extend 90% of your right arm. That's it.
Mike sees 1 swing and fixes a pro. That’s some knowledge. So impressive.
Would have liked to see what his grip looked like when he strengthened it.
what a shame Mike's hand and/or shirt keeps getting in the way of the video replay. It would have been nice to see the p[oints he was making in the replay instead of his hand or shirt.
I notice when I go to a 4 knuckle left hand grip and neutral right hand, my left wrist is severely cupped at the top. When I see Mike or this player in the video they are nowhere near as cupped as I am. Do I try and take some of the cup out at the top or don't worry about it. It would seem with such a strong left hand grip in the fingers and on top of the grip at address it can't help but have a lot of extension at the top of the swing.
You better have PLENTY of body flexibility to properly play with a strong grip. You'll need way more rotation, and way more side bend through the ball. You better players out there will understand what I'm talking about.
Tried this and also the feel of the force going into the inside of the heel on the backswing this week. For the first time in almost 4 years hit grst shots with all my clubs. Just wish I could chip and putt. I'm using Mike's chipping method and my chipping has improved slightly, but putting is killing me. 45 putts on Thursday. I've watched and tried Mike's method for putting, but it's not working for me.
This is the best explanation of wrist movements
I tried this on the course and averaged 260-270 down the pipe! Thanks!
The more I feel like my swing improves the less comfortable a neutral grip feels. I've had to start turning my right hand a bit stronger to feel "comfortable"..
Great instruction, but you have to do something about the camera positions… would have been nice to see the monitor.
Hi Mike: I just took a lesson and was told to work on keeping my right arm close to my rib cage. I’m a right hander. I have tried for 2 rounds now and have added over 10 strokes to my game. Did I misunderstand or do I need to keep working on this? Very confused??
I have noticed a strong grip is the only way i can play and know where the face is.
I had so much trouble ball striking (hosel every time) and TWO concepts allowed me to be a killer ball striker now. (1) your comments on grip like this, and (2) Rory McIlroy's advice on imagining "razor blades" during the take away. if you are unfamiliar with #2 you should google it and I would love a video with your thoughts on that.
