I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

I have found it effective to counter-rotate the face even more closed down…..If it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid.
“That’s where u win” 😂😂😂
But for real my swing is getting so much better
Tom, I wanted to share with you how much you’ve helped me improve in the last 2 months. I’m 52, and played when I was young, and was a solid player. I took 20 years away from golf to focus on a career and raising my kids, and got back into the game a handful for years ago. I have an injury to my lower spine that has been troublesome with a traditional swing. So I went looking for some help. I found you and Jess Frank on you tube, and the stack and tilt looked like such a simpler way to swing. I’ve had to modify a little by swinging a little more with my legs and keeping my spine and pelvis working together…no real tension between the two. This just means when I turn into a back swing, I end up turning my hips a little further back. The result is a pain free swing, with an inside to out path creating a soft draw. I’ve spent 5 months practicing and filming myself to make sure I’m progressing properly. I’ve done almost all of your drills, mostly without a ball, swinging 50 to 60 swings a night. In the last 9 weeks, I’ve gone from a 14.7, to an 11.2 index. Putting in a little more effort on putting and short game, and today I am thrilled to report I shot 78, on a very challenging links course, in a 15-20 MPH wind, that is tight all around. There’s not a flat spot in a fairway, or on a green. I think the strong wind made me focus and think my way around a bit better than normal, but I have to tell you that I didn’t hit a bad iron or hybrid shot all day. Crispy, buttery, clean contact. It’s was shocking and exciting all at the same time. My driver was not great today, but good enough to stay in play. I left it in the bag on all the par 4s that were 360 yards or under, and hit my 3 hybrid because I knew there was way more control, and played a mid iron into the greens. I’m still in awe of feeling so confident and having more control of the ball today. Stack and tilt is the real deal…earlier in the week I posted an 81, so I strongly believe I can get my index under 10 in the coming month. My goal has been a 9 by August. Thank you for all you do to post so much helpful content. I’d love to come and take a live lesson, or a few, with you in the fall. Life is too short to play bad golf, and crispy contact is addicting.
Chris
