Budget COSTCO COBRA Irons vs $1,000 Cobra LTDx Irons!? SHOCKING! When buying new golf clubs we always want the best golf clubs for us… but does that mean you have to buy an expensive new driver? do you need the best driver of 2022? the longest driver of 2022? maybe you need the most forgiving driver of 2022… none of which sound like they will be cheap golf clubs? What about buying golf clubs from Costco? we have all seen the Kirkland golf clubs. Kirkland golf balls, costco golf clubs and costco golf balls have been a huge hit, now you can even buy Cobra golf clubs from costco in a package set. budget golf clubs could well be the future of golf…cheapo package sets especially… but what is the difference between an expensive 2022 Cobra LTDX irons, vs a budget package irons? let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

  1. Love the budget videos….I am still playing my wilson set from 2007 but I think I have the confidence to build my own bag next summer and I am really leaning toward going with graphite shafts. The cobra set is still in play just because the price is just so good. I will probably also consider putting new grips on anything I get….Good stuff.

  2. James just a suggestion, but get Foxy to do the same test just to see if a high handicapper would perform any better with expensive clubs.

  3. Morning from Bama! As a high handicapper, novice golfer myself, I wish those irons had come out just a few months sooner and I would've bought the Costco Cobras! That Kirkland ball was showing off its green stopping power on the Par3s yesterday on the course! Cant go wrong with anything Kirkland golf.

  4. Im also thinking you shot this video prior to your wedlock with Laura bc I I dont see a ring…..but I am curious if you're going to get used to a real ring, get a silicone one, or play without. Do tell.

  5. I've noticed that in the recent club (and ball) "tests" that you don't show swing speed. Could there be an (unconscious) bias for one or the other clubs (or balls)?

  6. My irons are really old. I have a feeling that there's a lot more tech even in the cheaper set than what I'm currently playing. I replaced the driver this year with the LTDx LS and may change out the irons next season. I am leaning a bit towards something like the Takomo or another direct to consumer brand.

  7. What the hell is ketchup paper?

Seriously though, if you have time at some point, do you think it would be possible to see a drill or short instructional video for controlling the length of one's backswing so it doesn't get too long and fat gits like me can reduce the number of times we hug our own face ?

  8. Great video James. Honestly think you could hit it round with a spade though. Would love to see if foxy noticed a difference between them.

  9. If you're a decent golfer hitting it out the middle 9 times out of 10 then it makes very little difference what clubs you use.

I'd imagine the LTDx will be a bit more forgiving than the cheap set and give more ball speed on off hits.

  10. I'm still playing my F6 cobras so guess they are the same as the XL speeds. Still love my clubs 😃

  11. Great Video and comparison. There is a lot of distance difference in studio numbers but not on course. Tough discussion

  12. Not sure this really tells me anything other than it all comes down to the person hitting the club and how they strike it. Not one of your better videos. Sadly☹️

  13. Not surprised an impartial report would show this. I still have box set Ben Sayers M9 i picked up in 2012. Years later sets laters too took them regriped, adjusted lye them to my now fited set. Tipped the 3w and 5w 1inch. Making reg flex 1/2 stiff 1/2 reg. Driver too. WOW! A matured swing applied make play spot on. Scored 85 off white tees. Irons made every distance, shorter fairway woods just lovely. Driver made 250yard carry. So do get sucked in by marketing absolutely. 😂😂🤣🤣.
