I'm going to have to leave your channel pop. For one thing I'm much older than you because I am 80 and people tell me all the time that I am getting repetitious and I tell them the same things over and over again which it appears that's what you are doing now. I go to YouTube and you said this is like 3 days ago and it was like months ago. I wish you well I think you're a fine gentleman but I'm going to have to check out.
You should give the Wilson Launch Pad Offset Hybrid a try. Gives me a higher ball flight than the Cleveland.
Andy. Great plain speaking review. Is the 3+ Hy Wood simply a shorter shaft easier to hit 5 wood by any other name? Any plans that they might do the same for an alternative to a traditional 3 wood. A 1+ Hy Wood? Paul
Can get for £189 at the mo which is a lot less than a lot of the brands
They are like rocking horse shit !!
If it gives the golfer confidence then it’s worth the $$$
Great video. Ive had mine for a few weeks now and fills a huge gap in my bag. I find it very intutive and fun to hit. Way under the radar in my opinion. Highly recommend. Cheers and play well.
Should I get the halo xl hybrid or Hywood? I need it off the tee and fairway? Is the hybrid no good off the tee?
Really interesting product from Cleveland, there product is just not available to try enough. Bit like the Apex UW, not really sure where would fit in my set, but nice to see different things come to market
Used to use the Wilson fybrid , great clubs and underrated.
I bought one of these on blind faith and it has just arrived I will be trying this tomorrow. As a high handicapper I struggled with a Rogue 3 wood. I used to have Snake Eyes hybrids a long time ago And they were good and regretted letting them go. Looking forward to the trial!
Very interesting how your practice swings are over the top but not when you hit the ball…
There were several commercials for Cleveland during the US Open coverage… things are heating up!
Been waiting for months for this one 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video Andy is there only one club in that range or do they have a few different lofts like in a hybrid or fairway woods think this co7ld b better option in stead of hybrid or me
Thanks for this one. I’ve been asking for months 😉👍🏼
If you are looking for 4w fire power, try the callaway 17* UW… that club sends missiles and went straight in the bag.
Great review Andy, I was waiting for the. '' it's going in the bag'' I suspected it would suit you down to the ground. I looked at one in our pro shop, but he doesn't have a trial club for members to try. I use stiff shafts and all he has is regular, so until one drops in, I will continue with my Adams 2 Iron hybrid, which is low lofted, but for those low shots into par 5's it does the job. High shots into greens longer distance, I use a 25+ year old burner bubble2 titanium 3 wood, which puts many new models to shame.
I am looking at this or their 3+ hybrid, same head but shorter shaft again
Cleveland are very under-rated, and deserve more recognition. I just bought a new Launcher XL driver which has loads of forgiveness, adjustable loft and lie, and a regular flex shaft. And it is half the price of the premium drivers. It is designed for average players like me, and I will definitely be checking out their Hy-wood. Thanks for the review.
I play the Callaway UW. Similar but maybe a little
Smaller head. I have the 17 and 21, love em. Great distance!!
Excellent Andy, thanks. Looking forward to your WITB. I have got myself in a bit of a pickle with gapping but will give the Hywood a try.
Cleveland brings really smart clubs to market.
Andy, which shaft/flex was in that club?
It’s look very interesting. Nice design and price point. I have a Callaway Rogue 4 wood 17 degree and love it. So it would be tough to replace it with the Hy Wood.
I’m eagerly waiting for my new Mizuno JPX irons to arrive and have gone for the 4, 5 and 6 in the hybrids (FliHi). I’ll then be looking to fill the void between my driver and however long the 4 hybrid goes. I was going to look at just either a 5 or 7 wood, but now I might give this a try as well as I do struggle with fairway woods of the deck.
Andy, apart from the shaft length: Is there any difference between this Hywood and the "ordinary" XL Halo Hybrid 18°? Clubhead seems to be exactly the same. I ordered the Hybrid now, since those Hywoods seem to be hardly available here in Germany …
It’s a short 5 wood, hardly ground breaking. Probably fine quality and easy to use
I’ve had the Cleveland hy-wood in the bag since the beginning of the season. As a senior golfer I had been struggling with 3-wood even HL 3-woods. Not enough swing speed. This was a game changer. Not as long as traditional 3-woods but keeps you in the game, in the fairway and very controllable. Good option for anyone who struggles with traditional woods.
I love your reviews! The way you honestly review each poduct and especially how you take it out on the course instead of just inside in the bay. I also love the specific products you have been reviewing. The longest club in my bag after driver is a 3 maverick hybrid because of the shorter shaft. I hit that the same distance as a 3 wood, yet more accurately. The product you just reviewed is perfect for me- I'll definitely try it out. I've been looking to try the Cleveland halo hybrid irons as well. Thank you again. You do content that is relevant!
i want to be a Cleveland fan, but they are price gouging the American market. 👎
The best club I have ever purchased!
Reminds me of the WIlson Staff Fybrid from a few years back when Padraig was winning is majors.
I ordered this club and got it 2 weeks ago….love it I hit it higher than a 5 wood and about same distance….also great for chipping from off the green….great club…..great review Andy….cheers from Canada
I have the five wood and was pondering getting the seven wood, for you would this be closer to a five or seven wood and a better option than a seven or one to go with it?
I bought these after watching your review. You were spot on. These clubs are amazing.
I have a Wilson Fy-wood ( 19.5 degree) which is a similar product. It is very easy to hit well. For many slower swing players the choice of 5 Wood( 18 degree) and 7 wood ( 20 degree) and 3 hybrid ( 19 degree) is a difficult one to make. I found that the 5 Wood and 7 wood were almost carrying the same distance, but I was more accurate with the 7 wood. I think many golfers could take out the 5&7 woods and the 3 Hybrids too and use this style of club for the second shot on par 4 and par 5 holes.
They've reinvented "the perfect club"
Love mine! I really like the hi-bore crown visually. Took a while to figure out if I hit it shallow like a FWY or descend on it like a hybrid. The more I hit it like a hybrid, the better strike I get. Loving Cleveland!!
Hy wood is great but I couldn't get over the cheaper look and clicky sound so I went with the Callaway UW and love them.
Very underrated brand, much like Wilson. I would recommend you try their D9 hybrids if you haven’t already.
Andy…You didn't seem to go into much detail about how it compares to your 5 wood and hybrid setup other than to say it filled a gap. Would love to hear more.
Add a bit more hip rotation, you'll hit it 25 yards longer
Wanted to see how it does when you’re in the rough. A hybrid can be used can this?
Not actually new. Wilson released a line called Fybrid more than 5 years ago.
Adams super S idea VST 19 hybrid is almost identical in looks, shaft length and performance, but you get one for about 50 bucks on eBay.
Roger that. All of the above!! And it fits in the upper end of the club. Some where between the Driver and Putter…..
Thanks Andy. Cheers Mate!!!
Love this club . When I struggle with my driver I switch to this and it’s really easy to hit with the shorter shaft and large head , it fills you with confidence and replaces my 3 wood
Good review. I use Ping G400 hybrids. I hit the 4 hybrid well so bought the 3 (19 degree) It had different weighting and too many shots went left. Does this Cleveland have weighting bias towards the toe? I noticed some of your shots went left of target.
