Q. Is there a penalty if you hit your ball that is in motion after you have made an intended stroke at it?

A.
The answer depends on whether the subsequent strikes at the ball are accidental or deliberate.
Accidental
If they are accidental, then there is no penalty, and you only count the one intended stroke at your ball.
Rule 10.1a

Deliberate
If the subsequent strikes at the ball are deliberate intended strokes, then those subsequent strikes count, plus a general penalty for each subsequent strike at the ball in motion.
