I have to use white wood tee's , as for teeing up an iron (par 3'z) I buy short white wood tee's just for irons
Love this and just what I needed thank you
Thanks for tuning in from wherever you are!
Will bare this in mind when i go to the range
I have to wear the same pair of socks for every round 😎
I HAVE to wear shorts when playing golf.
For me it’s bad luck using a tee that I find, I think the player who used it hit a bad shot and blamed the tee.
I use a short tee for irons and a Nike white black striped tee my brother gave me, I have to start and finish the round with the same tee.
Crazy no? Lol I can’t help it
Actually I do have two rules about tees, always use plastic unbreakable tees and never ever bye tees. It sounds strange but I have not purchase any tees over the last 10 years starting pretty much with brush tees and following the set of three purchased all others were found on various tee boxes around the US.
have my little good luck token to help me
No superstitions, though I do use broken tees sometimes. Just because I'm tight fisted! Otherwise it's castle tees for consistency. Red for irons and hybrids, blue for fairway woods and pink for driver. I have hundreds of them but have never bought one in my life! Talking about tight, I once found a pink tee from which the point had broken. Someone had gone to the trouble of drilling it and putting in the point of a broken wooden one!
Explained and demonstrated well thx you 🍻🇨🇦
@:50 How do you break a tee in your pocket?
Thanks never given the T heights a lot of thought before, but I will now
With an iron, I to use a broken tee, or I some times have a couple of short tees, Callaway, I have had them for a couple of years! Plastic with a rubber rim, they last for ever. For my driver and fairway woods I often use brush Tee's. They last for ever as well.
Excellent as always. I am driving with the orange castle as it seems to give me more confidence when striking the ball. Can you do a session on hitting hybrids off the fairways as I really struggle with this
I can't bear to have 3 consecutive 6s on a scorecard. Just can't do it.
Hi Alex
My superstition is that I will never play a single shot with anyone else’s ball I find regardless of condition or make as I think if they have lost it then I will do the same. I will only ever play with a ball I have bought myself! Found balls are only ever used on the range before I actually play.
What balls are you playing, looking for a lower launch ball.
Just like you, broken pegs for irons from the tee 😂😂! You're right, so important tee height. Personally I would go for a bit higher for my driver shots.
Great tips again 😀
I asked for this and you delivered beyond expectation. You explained everything anyone needs to know. Very much appreciate your videos on a daily basis. Roll on 100k and more, cheers mate
Fix my hook.
Can’t wear a belt anymore, no matter how large the shorts/pants. Played my best golf when I forgot it one round, now it is a staple
Alex, that was good, basic info on the tee heights. The use of the foam noodle to illustrate WHY it works is brilliant. Well done.
I won't use one of my top quality balls if I go to the first tee box without any warm-up. The problem comes if I make a birdie or par with that ball. The superstitious part of me won't let me change balls until I make bogey or worse
Brilliant, Alex. This is such a critical component of managing your tee shot and is often overlooked. Most amateurs tee it up too high with irons and woods leading to poor strikes. Even with driver, I would rather tee it low with a shallow angle of attack to neutralize launch. Great stuff. Keep up the good work!
I normally use a broken tee for irons too, but I've been using the plastic ones that have one of 2 lengths, one for driver and one for irons. But if there's one sitting there I always use it. Why risk losing or breaking a perfectly good tee. 😂
The only superstition I have is I won't take a ball I find on the course
Caught someone once taking mine thinking they had "found" a ball
Regardless of whether anyone is about I will not Pick up found balls on the course
With the irons and driver I'm with you. On the hybrids I wasn't so sure. This will help a lot. Thanks alex👏👏
AEG, I came very close to not watching this video .. I thought .. I've been hitting correct tee heights for years .. but I thought.. give it a chance. And everything you said, I agreed with .. then you brought out the pool noodle. And I had a eureka! moment. Because my arms are shorter, on really fast swings the club head comes inside quickly promoting a fade/slice .. the pool noodle doesn't just go straight through and straight back .. the arc actually goes slightly inside to square to inside so I have to match my distance to the ball with the impact point to get a draw/straight/fade shot! A eureka! moment. Thanks.
Like the video Alex makes a lot of sense. Wasn't quite sure on the tee height for a hybrid but now I know. I use the pink castle ones for my driver
Broken tees.. haha.. OCD… I always have to have a small red towel in my back pocket..
Same exact superstition. If I’m hitting iron, I must find a broken tee. And if there isn’t one, I snap a long one. Why snap a long one and not just put it all the way in the ground?? Cause we’re strange people, Alex. 😂
Alex use plastic shortie. They are wonderful. Superstition using new ball after hitting out of bounds. Need to clean clubs after every shot
As doctor all needs to be tidy and clean.
Beast 5 wood. Love my Cobra 5 wood. New late
Thought it was just me who had this tee superstition! Another great video Alex. Keep them coming
Beautiful explanation thanks 👍 How did you play in the qualifying tournament?
I tend to hit a driver better with a snapped tee than a full length one
Always want my clubs in a certain position in my bag, if they get mixed up I will sort it before I do anything else on the course!
Excellent video
