I like how everyone wants to move off Goff for a rookie, at least with Goff you’re getting a known commodity. No rookie is a known commodity and you have probably a 70% chance the qb you take doesn’t become a organization changing player. So let’s stop acting like a drafted rookie would be a savior of this organization, you need a complete roster with a top 5 online before even thinking about throwing in a young qb.

Why on every show Adam talks about the Lions having a great running game? Last time I looked at the stats we were ranked around 20th in the league, with both RB’s proven they cannot stay healthy for a entire season. I don’t see the Lions jumping up into the top 10 in rushing offense with the backs we have currently. Swift can’t handle the load without getting hurt so at best he gets what maybe 800 yards rushing and another 400 yards or so receiving, then Williams gets maybe 500-700 yards that’s not going to put us in the top 10 in rushing offense. Not to mention neither back seems to be able to get the tough yards when needed to move the chains or be able to push it in for a TD in the red zone because combined they only had 8 rush TD’s. Maybe instead of picking apart Goff and placing the blame on him maybe someone needs to start picking on these backs and maybe the online is a little soft in the run game for the amount of high draft picks that are in the lineup. If this line is so great show me the stats that show that in the run game and if they are then that means our backs are mediocre at best. For a coach that talks about biting knee caps off I don’t see that aggression in the run game nor in the attitude of the lineman.

Enough with the whining.I'm a Detroit born and raised guy Jared Goff did enough to be chosen #1,in the Draft by Brad Holmes and performed good enough with a little surrounding talent to compete for SB in multiple seasons.If the right guy that Holmes likes comes along again in the near future,I'm sure he'll push the button.The Ram's proved that formula of adding talents around the right man will work if everything goes right in one season.
