    It is absolutely SHAMEFUL that the pdga and the pro tour are allowing men to be competing in the womens division!!! the womens divisions are supposed to be PROTECTED so that the women have fair competition with each other. the REAL women that play disc golf need to all stand up and just tell the pdga NO! men have no place in the womens division. "Ella" is 100% a man. just because he dresses up like a woman does not make him a woman. nothing he can ever do will make him a woman.

    Most of y'all aren't like this, right? I recently picked up disc golf but if there's this level of transphobia in the community maybe i should find something else to do with my time? I know I probably shouldn't judge a community by its YouTube commenters but this is honestly not a great look!

    My understanding of this event is, it is an open division not a fpo division. If that is the case, then any woman who competes in this, knows they could be competing against males, even ones who are transitioning, so at that point any advantage that the male has, is one the women accept by playing in a open division.
    If I'm correct on this being open, i don't see the problem. I do understand that the female only one would be a hot topic, and even then, if the other women playing against the male who is transitioning don't have a issue with it, i again don't see the issue, but i do think that the participation of transitioning people in the fpo should be voted on anonymously by the other players they will be competing against on a per event status. Then everyone is informed of what's going on, the women who are playing know a person who originally was a male is playing, and that person knows by being allowed to play, that they are accepted, or not, by the players they are competing against.
