No one will be buying this golf club and always opting for a more premium brand, but realistically this is great value for the majority of golfers watching this video!

I bought Vokey raw 52 and 58 off the back for less than £70 delivered – highly durable with the raw finish, should last a lifetime.
Would love to see a Kirkland, Rife, Wilson & Fazer wedge show down.
Although this has encouraged me to go and test some new budget wedges.
Is this Broome Manor’s American golf??
For the first 5 mins I thought this was going to be the Fazer …… 😂
I bought a set of rife hybrid clubs and they are absolutely fine
Exactly my point. Consider budget equipment but be careful with metalwoods. Just bought a few Taylor Made Spinn Milled wedges, new but perhaps 3 generations old ones in design. Half the price but still exquisite clubs. Just the model TW carried a few years ago.
I went for the Cobra PUR over these ones when they had a deal on.
However have a Rife putter which I really enjoy
I have never heard of them, thanks again for your content. As always, very impressed
I don’t think anyone should buy anything from American Golf. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with!
Thank Simon . This is great for people to understand that golf doesn’t have to be expensive.
Love my 60 degree Taylormade ATV you can manipulate the face for any shot.
loving the new openings
Noob question, which wedge do you buy next if you already have pitchíng and sand wedges?
Bought 3 MD STR 40 wedges for £150 Inc postage and they are excellent and look good.
Review bombtech golf
I have that exact wedge in my bag. 32 h/cap and don’t see the point in spending a fortune on the ‘latest & greatest’
I have the 60 degree, bloody love it. Favourite club in the bag
Kirkland allows returns no questions asked. So you can take them out hit them and if they suck you can return them
Bought some inexpensive Rife 'waterproof' shoes from AG. Got them home and a whole section of the upper wasn't even properly attached to the sole. AG fullly refunded me. But – 'inexpensive', 'budget', whatever you want to call it, shouldn't mean 'unusable'. Like the point you make in the video about the wedge grips.
Confusing, but love the trick shots ! Back in the day of real woods, we all carried 56 degree sand wedges. You learned to turn it into a 58 or 54, change the ball position, hood it open it. Its all a beginner needs. The 56 the magic wand. You had to learn to do everything with it.
Profit profit profit. Old sets were 3 to SW. now, its 5 to PW. 6 irons sold for the price of 9. Plus PW is now almost an 8 iron. So you need a set of 3 wedges, just to get to 56 degrees.
The biggest change for me has been the hybrid thing, brilliant, especially from the rough.
If you have money to chuck around, that's what you will do.
As you say, cheap is ok, 2nd hand quality is good, marry the two.
My boy 18, is starting the journey. Sw Pw 8 6 4hybrid 5w 3w. Putter. That's the bag. If he breaks 80 , then a driver of his choice, shit that'll cost me!
.
Wicked trick shot man.
Rife is good 👍
Would like to see a review of the Ben sayers xf pro wedge.
Dont know about Rife wedges but there golf gloves are quality.I see after a few rounds if they holds together.
Just my opinion but I would never buy new clubs. I spent 40 pound each for 2nd hand Cleveland 52 and 56 degree wedges in as new condition that have milled faces which are far more superior to cheap new wedges.
I have the fazer 56 degree, very impressed
Dude you need to resale your kirklands! Just return them to Costco. They take everything back.
I bought the Callaway PM grind 19's about a year ago used. 54° and 58° $150 for both. Excellent condition, I love them. Had to get them extended an inch and regripped so basically $90 a wedge all said and done and they're premium grade. Helped me tremendously with my short game and getting out of bunkers. I guess for me I'd rather buy used and in great condition for a better brand with more R&D and better materials and shaft. But great video Simon.
I have 2 Muira wedges that were £300 each. Nothing feels like these clubs.
Need to call you ten take Simon now lol..my grandson got these..loves them..it's REALLY not the club, however much you spend,it could cost £5000 but if you can't chip ,what's the point…golf is and always will be..Chipping and putting….nothing else
Great video Simon. This got me thinking for someone new to the game that has 50 and 54 degree ‘iron set wedges’ are you better off sticking with those until you’re ready for a more premium option like a Vokey etc? And getting wedge lessons. When do you make that step up? Do you even need to?
Talking absolute sense mate well done
I believe that Rife is now an American Golf brand, hence why it's the only place you can buy them. Think they bought the name after the putter company went bust.
