When shopping for golf clubs we often look straight in the golf shop for the latest and greatest new golf clubs. the best driver of 2022, the best irons of 2022 the best forgiving golf clubs of 2022… but sometimes you have to look for a good random pro shop bargain! in this video I bought a new driver… not just any driver, but a driver which once upon a time would have been an expensive new titleist driver… however now its 20 years old and I managed to buy it for just £20… so what can I score at royal cromer golf club with this cheap second hand golf club… lets find out… lets do it now!

I have a Driver – 3W – 5W Titleist 975 Pro Trajectory Set of woods in my bag…been playing them for a long time. I recently got fit/bought Irons/Wedges and Woods are next on the fitting list for me.
The best deal I ever got on a golf club was a Titleist 975 3 wood. Bought if from callaway pre-owned for $4. Came with an almost new golf pride mmc grip and a head cover.
I played royal Cromer last year and it’s a great track as a member at Royal Eastbourne I would like to see a series of Royal golf courses

Great find James I'd love to see what type of bag you could build and prove that golf doesn't have to be expensive. I get the grips will need replacing but showcasing the best budget grip find along side it would make interesting veiwing. What are your thoughts?
I still have my 975D and 983E both 8.5 degree
I used a titleist 905R for several years until the face cracked. I could get it out as far as guys with the latest equipment and l could fade and draw it as required which the other guys with more modern clubs had trouble doing the same. This was in county and EGU events so a reasonable standard. Now l Amanda old senior golfer l still use titleist and while l am not as long as l used to be my 917 keeps within 10 – 15 yards of our young scratch players just wish my irons were as good. as they were. Distance and age don’t go together.
Picked up one of these on Facebook marketplace for £5. Goes in the bag now and then. Great club.

I would be a lot better golfer if I didn't suffer from this obsession with buying old golf clubs and using them for my next round.
What is amazing about that driver is that is was about $500 when it came out. Golf clubs are the only thing that drops in price quicker than new cars.
I actually love that found that! I have a sim max 2 driver, Scotty M2, vokey wedges, fitted T100s irons, and believe it or not I’m still loving my 975F 3 and 5 wood with s300 shafts. I would love to have have this club you found.
My father in law has one and he loves it. He has tried so many other drivers and always goes back to that one.
I still have my Titleist 975J (9.5 degree with a stiff shaft) in my collection. I haven’t played it in 15 years, but I’ll never get rid of it.
Youth of today don’t know how to tee up a driver that isn’t 460cc…..proceeds to hit ground with driver on practice swing
I loved my 975 lfe in 8.5 with a Grafalloy Blue shaft. Played it until the race caved in!!! Replaced it with the 905 same loft and shaft and bombed it until a few years ago.
I'm 57 years old and hit a 330 yd drive yesterday, with my re-issued Taylormade M2. not shabby I'd say.

The TaylotMade R7 Superquad TP model works as well and is within the rules. It may cost more though.
