You read the title correctly. I shot an 87. Although I did have help in achieving that number!
Driving the cart path can be a pain. Driving the estate road as much as 100 yards from your ball can be a bigger pain. Having a caddie who thinks the yardage markers are to the middle of the green when they are to the front is a real pain. Bringing the wrong club and not a selection of clubs when they have been told to sit in the cart and wait until I’ve measured the shot is a royal pain in the ass!

  1. Great video Simon, I have to admit I haven't laughed as much in quite a while 🤣🤣🤣

When you wanted 8 iron and caddy brings you SW, honestly I nearly fell off my chair 🙈

I've never played golf with a caddy before but just goes to show you the difference between a good and bad one I suppose!

Great way to start a Friday, cheers for the upload 👍

  2. A tale of two caddies , tight old looking course was your tip to your caddie " get another job " ?
    Thanks for the video

  3. Thanks Simon, the definition of frustration my friend. Surprised that you aren't in a Thai prison at the moment. You were definitely over heating lol.

  4. The cart path on the Canyon course are a joke, the course was designed as a walking course and only in the past few years were carts allowed. Up till about 2007 the caddies had to carry the bags, even trollies werent allowed, that was when the course was the best in Asia. Unfortunatly since allowing carts on the course no cart paths have been added. Also visitors are required to take carts(!) which due to the layout of the estate roads really doesnt speed play up, I can vouch that its can be a long hot walk on the course, and if you get a caddie as you did, well…. Hopefully your 2nd round was more enjoyable!

  5. This has to be my favorite course so far on your trip. A ton of beautiful holes with tight fairways and love the landscaping.
That monkey grass makes it challenging off the fairways.
That sucks about your caddie. At first I was thinking she may have been new and was learning along the way. Seems logical to me to bring 3 clubs. One for the yardage she thinks, one club down and one club up just in case. Especially if your having to park the cart miles away from your shot.
Well next time you play it at least you have an idea of the layout and what to hit plus the caddie can't be any worse.
    Great video Simon!

  6. I've never played using a caddie so, it would take some getting used to especially if I didn't agree with their club selection. 😬

  7. What a dreadful experience for you. I think that even I could have clubbed you rather better than she did!!!! To not know that the yardage markers are to the front of the green is ridiculous, especially as she's been there 10 years! It sounds as if you had a much better experience when you returned to Blue Canyon, so I'll look forward to watching that in due course.

  8. What a shame you got that useless caddie mate ,happened to me once and I tipped her only 200 baht she was in tears .I was playing an Army course with some Thai soldiers ,one was a General I had no idea he was and he told the manager that my caddie was no good ,she lost her job look forward to the next video there
    Cheers Nads

  9. Damn … wrong clubs so many times is something that would put of anyone I guys. Funny thing is when I'm around the greens and need to walk to the ball without knowing the lie I even have 2 or 3 clubs in hand to have options. By the way that shot between the trees … wow. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

  10. She brought you the correct club every time, you were on the green. To avoid this in the future, when you arrive can you not give a sheet of paper with rough yardages for each club?

  11. Here we call it carabao grass. Caddy can make you experience not so good. Just need assert your self and have her go back and get another club until she learns to being more then 1 club
