  1. That makes total sense. My bad shot is ground before ball, this helps me with rotation.
Putting it into a pre-shot routine is a great idea.

  2. My coach has been trying to get my right arm and hands closer to the right hip at impact (shows me a lot of Jim Furyk videos). Love this drill. Think it will help a lot. Cheers Mark.

  3. I'll give this ago. Tried your trail hand on front of shaft for release drill idea last week. Actually played the best I have for last 3 years. Great thoughts for my release

  4. Mark I am desperate for help with the shanks on little chip's around the green I'm very close to putting up the white flag and buying a chipper, haven't looked through your videos yet for help with this problem but just can't wrap my head around what's going on, I practice at home and it never happens but get me on the course and it's half my score card

  5. This is a new one for me. Gonna love giving it a go! I can definitely use this for not only crisping strike, but on course pre-shot routine feeling FOR the low point too with the differing lies out there.

  6. i've always thought my issue is with my height change between backswing pull back and driving down towards the ground as I go into twisting around through impact. I tend to 'throw my arms down' as I extend going into rotation and decide last minute the strength I want to incorporate through impact. It essentially duffs at impact. The practice swing right beforehand I always seem to cleanly skim the grass, but the second I address the ball my brain starts questioning the depth that this iron needs (vs others I hit clean-namely my gap)
Gotta give this technique a try. Next round is in 4 days.

  7. This is really helpful, I find my hands get a bit more in front of the ball with the club lagging a bit behind, is that right?

  8. Will give it a bash later. A previous coach encouraged me to squeeze my elbow in, without creating a method of doing so, but this little drill seems to create that feeling. Thanks a lot.

  9. My buddies make fun of me "chicken winging" my trail arm and I think this is exactly the drill I need to start rectifying that. Hitting fat is the number 1 issue I have on the course. Have sprained my wrist before and had to leave at the turn.

  10. Watched this yesterday, tried it out on the course…smooth iron strikes, and my best ever 9-hole round. I'd say this helped!!
