Professional golfers are switching to the Single Plane Golf Swing because its consistent and it makes sense. Quite frankly, it is just simple. What makes it even better is that there is a clearly defined model. In this video, Josh Bamberger, a Canadian Professional shares his experience learning the Single Plane Swing and how it has helped transform and simplify his game.

About the Single Plane Golf Swing:

The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing – impact.

Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back. This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary. The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

  1. Man….I really enjoy watching this lovely swing. Also I wanted to say thank you Todd for giving all your insights on the feeling of greatness. It's absolutely hands down one of my favorite books!

  2. I also a few just now popped over to Amazon and picked up The Single Plane Golf Swing. It'll be here in a few days. Im excited!

  3. Great video Todd. Nice to see another Kitchener / Waterloo guy converting to the Moe model. I remember Josh from when he was a junior playing against guys like Corey Conners.

  4. 190?! 7 iron? Congrats… I’m 61 and my 7 iron is 160… great video, I work on his exact plane issue too. Felt like I was getting a lesson too! Thanks 🙏

  5. Thank you for this! Really enjoy watching different people swing with your method. It's interesting that he stands so firm with both feet on ground all the time. It's probably a great way to practice to never go up on your toes, because it can easily lead to you lifting the heal too early?

  6. Great video. I too find myself with a more controlled swing keeping my trail foot down to slightly raised in the follow through. Thanks Todd.

  7. Mr. Graves,I am in awe of your knowlege and ability to articulate that information in the way you teach so with enormous amounts of respect for you and your mentor Mr.pipeline Mo Norman I ask why are there not more world class players doing this and with it being so consistant why in your opinion does Bryson spray the ball all over the lot!Thank you sir!

  8. Follow through looks un natural and awkward however can't fault the ball striking.

  9. It must be satisfying hitting straight laser shots. What is the distance in inches from his toes to the ball with the 7i? I ask because at 5'3" I'm trying to find a proper distance.

  10. I might be wrong but… i see his IBP more towards the right, like 5 inch from where its marked. Wish you could talk a bit on when we can move the ball or why we should move the ball more toward right or other position. Thanks for great tips

  11. 5:32 – Weight moves toward the target while the backswing is not yet finished. Hallmark of all great swings. This allows the shaft to load and we can easily see he is creating a nice amount of lag. We also see that he does not roll the clubface over too much, keeping that face pointing more towards the target longer. The lag does the work of propelling the ball, no need in trying to time clubface roll. I also think keeping the trail foot down longer can help to keep the clubface on the target line better, longer. Awesome content and interaction Todd. Excellent video!

  12. Great video. He seems to be on the taller side too. At 6'6" myself I have a lot of area for things to change in my swing. The 2 part slow motion was great.

  13. Great video allowing Josh the opportunity to share his journey from a “ conventional swing” to his single plane / Moe Norman swing. He looked like he was spot on with his 7 iron. Job well done fellas !
