I live in Co Derry and the best day out racing in Ireland I ever had was at Laytown on the beach. Early September. Highly recommended. Book the country lodge hotel near Drogheda. Book early. It’s the exact opposite of Royal Ascot. Down to earth, loads of interesting characters, superb live music and the best day I ever had bar none. Good luck today.
